After sixteen years in mornings at iHeartMedia Hot AC 98.1 WKDD Akron OH, Keith Kennedy is moving up the road to mornings at Classic Hits “Majic 105.7” WMJI Cleveland.
Kennedy, who also serves as Regional Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Cleveland, will be accompanied by current morning co-host Jen Picciano. She has been with the station since March 2021 in addition to serving as a reporter for WOIO-TV. Current morning host Mark Nolan will slide to afternoons. Nolan joined WMJI as midday host in 2012 and took over the morning show lead in 2014 following the retirement of John Lanigan.
Back at WKDD, Kennedy will continue to be heard on the station in afternoons. He teased in a break on Wednesday that “he’s really excited for you to get to know The Fred Show that will be here Monday morning.” Kennedy also currently tracks middays at Country 99.5 WGAR Cleveland.
The changes follow iHeartMedia’s cuts last week that included the exit of Kennedy’s co-host Tony McGinty. McGinty previously co-hosted mornings at WKDD from 2013 until January 2020 and returned in February 2022.
