Whiplash Community Radio will relaunch 1580 WTCL Chattahoochee FL with Cup O’ Dirt’s All 80’s “Sunny Radio” format.
WTCL has been silent for most of the past two years following a failed sale in early 2014. Whiplash will be purchasing WTCL from current owner Metz Inc. The format is based in Sioux Falls SD where it is heard on 1520 KZOY/92.1 K221FO and 1250 KZOI Dakota City NE/97.5 K248AY Sioux City IA. Owners John and Heidi Small double as morning hosts for the stations.
The Sioux Falls Argus-Leader reports that they plan on launching an additional affiliate in Texas next month.
