Joe ‘Hitman’ Haze has added Program Director duties at iHeartMedia Hot AC “Star 94.1” KMYI San Diego.
Haze will continue to program sister CHR “Channel 93.3” KHTS-FM and host afternoons at KMYI. He had also held Assistant Program Director/Music Director duties at KMYI under former PD John Peake. Peake moved to Los Angeles to program AC 103.5 KOST and Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG in January. Haze has worked for iHeartMedia San Diego since the launch of “Channel 93.3” in 1997 and previously worked in the Jacksonville and Phoenix markets.
iHeartMedia San Diego announced today that Joe Haze has been named Program Director for STAR 94.1, San Diego’s Best Music Variety, Celebrity Gossip, Entertainment and Music News, effective immediately. iHeartMedia San Diego has a strong cross-platform presence, massive consumer reach and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises – both broadcast and digital – including Channel 93.3, STAR 94.1, KGB-FM, ROCK 105.3, JAM’N 95.7, KOGO: 600 AM, XTRA 1360 FOX Sports SD – and legendary on-air programming including Kramer and Geena, Frankie V, Shelley Wade and Jesse Lozano.

Haze will work closely with on-air personalities and sales to oversee the station brand’s on-air and digital news programming, as well as local events and partnerships.

Haze currently serves as Program Director for Channel 93.3 and afternoon drive host for STAR 94.1. In his newly expanded role, Haze will serve as program director for both Channel 93.3 and STAR 94.1, while continuing to serve as afternoon drive host on STAR 94.1. Haze previously worked as night host at Channel 93.3. Before moving to San Diego, he worked at WAPE-FM and WJBT-FM in Jacksonville, FL, and KZZP-FM in Phoenix, AZ.
