Rumor Mill: Lots Of Action Coming To San Francisco?

Q102.1 KRBQ San FranciscoA flurry of action may be en route to the San Francisco market.

First at Entercom Classic Hip-Hop “Q102.1” KRBQ San Francisco where morning host Mia Amor and afternoon host Hoodrat Miguel have exited. Only MD/midday host Billy Vidal and three of the station’s mixers remain at the station. Lots of rumors are flying about a flip to Urban to go directly after iHeartMedia’s 106.1 KMEL and Rhythmic CHR “Wild 94.9” KYLD.

Meanwhile the syndicated Woody Show based at Alternative “Alt 98.7” KYSR is once again teasing about a return to the market. The Woody Show previously was heard on “Live 105″ KITS from January 2006 – April 2009. With no obvious place in the current iHeartMedia San Francisco cluster for The Woody Show could there be a situation where a competitor is picking up the show or is this just an HD Radio play for KYLD-HD3?

It was 9 years ago today that we were unceremoniously/wrongfully fired from Live 105 in San Francisco. Something that we have not, and will not let go until we avenge/right that wrongdoing. . So much has changed since then. Live 105 is a flaming dumpster fire ?. 7 morning shows and a name change later they still can’t recover ??. On the other hand, we have gone on to not only get the show back together, but we’ve also managed to ruin the party for Live 105’s sister station in LA. Nothing personal to those at that station, we have lots of friends there, but our disruption has made for interesting conversations for those responsible for it back in SF. ? #SuckIt . What hasn’t changed is our love and appreciation for all of the O.G. Bay Area peeps who have stuck by us all this time ?. We look forward to seeing you/being heard soon. In the meantime, enjoy this photo from 2009. . (Left to Right – Tony, Greg, lesbian Menace, Ravey, and dramatically skinnier Woody) #SoBayArea #LiveLifeAndParty
