iHeartMedia Hot AC “Mix 100.7” WMTX Tampa is filling its morning vacancy with Laura Diaz.
Diaz joins WMTX from “XL 106.7” WXXL Orlando where she has served as a co-host on “Johnny’s House” alongside Johnny Magic for the past seven years. She also has worked as a television anchor and reporter in Orlando and Monroe LA.
The new show will debut on January 3, 2019 and fills the opening created by the station dropping the syndicated Brooke & Jubal in October. The station is still seeking a co-host for Diaz. Interested applicants can submit their resumes here.

The Mix Morning Show with Laura Diaz will showcase a variety of hit music, highlight the latest pop culture news and feature fun interactive games with listeners. Diaz joins Mix 100.7 from iHeartMedia Orlando’s XL106.7, where she co-hosted alongside Johnny Magic on Johnny’s House for seven years.
“My great-grandparents emigrated from Spain to Tampa in search of the American Dream,” said Diaz. “To think that 103 years later I have the opportunity to be the female lead on a morning show and continue the dream is overwhelming!
