iHeartMedia has announced the appointment of Dominic ‘Zakk’ Zaccagnini as Program Director of News/Talk 570 WSYR Syracuse/106.9 WSYR-FM Solvay, News/Talk 1180 WHAM Rochester, and Hot Talk “Radio 95.1” WAIO Honeoye Falls/Rochester NY.
Zaccagnini most recently served in multiple roles at Cumulus Media Classic Rock “107.7 The Bone” KSAN San Francisco, Music Director for Westwood One’s Steve Gorman Rocks, part-time host at Sports 680 KNBR/104.5 KNBR-FM San Francisco, and hosting a Kansas City Chiefs pregame show for KCFX Kansas City until exiting in June 2021. Zaccagnini joined KSAN in July 2015 as APD/MD/Afternoon Host and was promoted to PD in November 2016. He previously has held on-air and programming roles at WLUP Chicago, WRRK Pittsburgh, WTFX Louisville, WMFS Memphis, WTPT Greenville, KSJO San Jose, and WZGC Atlanta as well as hosting the national “Zakk & Jack” morning show on Fox Sports Radio from 2010-2012. Zaccagnini has also been part of radio coverage for the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, and Kansas City Chiefs broadcasts.
iHeartMedia Rochester and Syracuse announced today that Dominic “Zakk” Zaccagnini has been named Program Director for NewsRadio WHAM 1180, Radio 95.1 and 570 WSYR , effective immediately. iHeartMedia Rochester and Syracuse has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than 10 stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Program Director, Zakk will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day programming, talent coaching and digital/social promotions for the NewsRadio WHAM 1180, Radio 95.1 and 570 WSYR. He will report to Tias Schuster, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Upstate New York.

Zakk joins the iHeartMedia Rochester and Syracuse markets from KSAN-San Francisco, where he most recently served as the program director and afternoon drive host while also handling pregame host duties for the Kansas City Chiefs on KCFX-Kansas City. He also served as assistant program director and afternoon host for WLUP-Chicago and as morning host for FOX Sports Radio. He began his career at WRRK-Pittsburgh and is a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
