Nielsen Audio has released Day 2 of its monthly four day sweep of ratings in PPM markets.

Today’s releases include Washington DC, Boston, Seattle, Miami, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Denver, San Diego, Baltimore, and St. Louis.

Washington DC

Public News/Talk 88.5 WAMU retains its lead down 12.9 to 12.1. Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP rises 7.8 – 8.6 – 8.9. Atlantic Gateway Communications Christian AC 91.9 WGTS inches up 7.2 to 7.3, while iHeartMedia AC 97.1 WASH moves 6.4 to 6.5. Howard University Adult R&B 96.3 WHUR is off 4.6 to 4.5.

Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 102.3/92.7” WMMJ/WDCJ slides 5.0 to 4.3.

Classical 88.1 WETA-FM rises 2.3 to 3.2. Cumulus Conservative Talk 105.9 WMAL trends up 3.4 – 3.8 – 4.3. Radio One Gospel “Praise 104.1” WPRS-FM rises 1.7 to 2.4. Manning Broadcasting Hot AC “Key 103.1” WAFY in suburban Frederick MD trends up 0.3 – 0.6 – 1.4.

Boston

Beasley Media’s “98.5 The Sports Hub” (8.8 to 7.5) and Classic Hits 105.7 WROR (5.7 to 6.2) take the top two spots. iHeartMedia CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM is off 5.5 to 5.4. Audacy AC “Magic 106.7” WMJX rises 4.2 to 5.1 to tie iHeartMedia Classic Rock 100.7 WZLX as it slides 6.1 to 5.1.

Trending up: Beasley Country 102.5 WKLB (3.2 – 4.0 – 4.3), iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 680 WRKO (2.8 – 3.7 – 4.1), Audacy Hot AC “Mix 104.1” WWBX (2.2 – 3.1 – 3.8), and Northeast Broadcasting AAA “92.5 The River” WXRV (2.2 – 2.7 – 3.0).

Audacy Sports 93.7 WEEI-FM slides 4.6 – 3.9 – 3.2.

Seattle/Tacoma

iHeartMedia Classic Rock 102.5 KZOK surges up 3.7 – 4.3 – 6.5 for what Huff notes is its highest share since July 2021 and first time in the lead since September 2020. iHeart Classic Hits “95.7 The Jet” KJEB slips 6.3 to 5.9. AAA 90.3 KEXP is up to third 5.3 to 5.6. Public News/Talk 94.9 KUOW-FM rises 4.9 to 5.5. Bonneville News/Talk 97.3 KIRO-FM slips 6.1 to 5.4.

With its flip from Country to AAA halfway through the monthly, Hubbard’s 98.9 KPNW-FM debuts down 3.5 to 1.8. Audacy Country “100.7 The Wolf” KKWF absorbs the audience lost with a 3.1 – 3.8 – 5.0 gain.

Rising in Seattle: Audacy Rock 99.9 KISW (3.4 – 4.9 – 5.3), iHeartMedia Variety Hits “96.5 Jack-FM” KJAQ (2.6 – 3.6 – 4.1), Hubbard CHR “Movin 92.5” KQMV (3.2 – 3.8 – 4.1), iHeartMedia CHR “Hits 106.1” KBKS (2.6 – 2.9 – 3.2), and Jazz/News 88.5 KNKX (1.6 – 2.4 – 2.6).

Cox Media Group Soft AC “Easy 93.1” WFEZ holds at an 8.9 share to retain its lead with sister Adult R&B “Hot 105” WHQT next 8.5 to 8.4. Univision Spanish AC “Amor 107.5” WAMR rises 5.4 – 5.7 – 6.4. Public News/Talk 91.3 WLRN-FM trends up 3.1 – 4.1 – 5.3 to tie for fourth with Audacy AC “101.5 Lite-FM” WLYF (5.4 to 5.3). Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes that is a new station record high for WLRN-FM.

iHeartMedia Spanish CHR “Mega 94.9” WZTU trends up 3.2 – 3.5 – 4.0. iHeart Classic Rock “Big 105.9” WBGG-FM falls 3.6 to 2.7.

Phoenix

Public News/Talk 91.5 KJZZ-FM retains the Phoenix lead 8.0 to 7.4. iHeartMedia AC “99.9 KEZ” KESZ slips 7.2 to 6.5. Hubbard Classic Rock 100.7 KSLX falls 6.9 to 6.4. Audacy CHR “Live 101.5” KALV is off 5.6 to 5.2. iHeartMedia Hot AC “Mix 96.9” KMXP rises 4.3 to 4.7.

iHeartMedia Country 102.5 KNIX rises 2.8 to 3.7, while Audacy’s 107.9 KMLE is up 2.5 to 3.0.

Bonneville News/Talk 92.3 KTAR-FM trends up 1.7 – 2.4 – 2.9, while sister “Arizona Sports 98.7” KMVP-FM rises 1.6 – 2.4 – 2.8. Classical “89.5 K-Bach” KBAQ trends up 1.6 – 2.1 – 2.5.

Beasley Media Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX holds its Detroit lead up 7.3 to 7.4. iHeartMedia CHR “Channel 95.5” WKQI jumps up 4.3 – 5.9 – 7.3 for what Chris Huff notes is the largest share in the history of the station. iHeartMedia AC 100.3 WNIC slides 7.7 to 6.6. Audacy Sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM trends down 7.6 – 6.8 – 6.3 (while its stream slides 2.2 – 1.9 – 1.3). Beasley Rock 101.1 WRIF places fifth 5.9 to 5.8.

iHeartMedia Adult R&B “Mix 92.3” WMXD jumps up 4.4 to 5.7. Audacy Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC rises 4.6 – 5.1 – 5.7.

iHeartMedia Classic Hits “Kool 108” KQQL takes the Twin Cities lead with a 6.7 to 7.3 rise. Cumulus Rock “93X” KXXR dips 6.8 to 6.7. Public News/Talk 91.1 KNOW-FM is up 6.5 to 6.6. iHeartMedia Country “K102” KEEY rises 4.4 – 6.2 – 6.5. Northwestern Media Christian AC 98.5 KTIS-FM jumps up 5.0 to 6.1.

Hubbard Hot AC “KS 95” KSTP-FM falls from first to sixth 7.2 to 6.0. iHeartMedia Sports “100.3 KFAN” KFXN-FM drops 7.5 – 7.1 – 5.6.

Jazz 88.5 KBEM trends up 0.8 – 1.7 – 2.9 to set a new station record high.

Borgen Broadcasting rimshot Oldies 740 WDGY jumps up 1.2 – 1.4 – 2.2 to set a station record high, while Chris Huff notes it is also the largest for the WDGY call letters since Winter 1987 when it was Country on 1130.

Tampa/St. Petersburg

Cox Soft AC 105.5 WDUV holds steady at a 7.8 share. Radio Training Network Christian AC “The Joy FM” 91.5 WCIE holds at a 6.7 share. Cox Classic Rock “107.3 The Eagle” WXGL rises 5.9 to 6.3. iHeartMedia Country “US 103.5” WFUS (4.3 – 5.0 – 6.1) and Cox Classic Hits “Q105” WRBQ (5.9 – 5.8 – 6.1) tie for fourth.

iHeartMedia’s “98 Rock” WXTB rises 5.3 to 6.0. Cox AC “Magic 94.9” WWRM is up 3.9 – 4.5 – 5.2. iHeartMedia AC “Mix 100.7” WMTX falls 5.8 to 4.6. Beasley Country 99.5 WQYK is down 4.6 to 3.8, while Rhythmic CHR “Wild 94.1” WLLD slides 3.9 – 3.3 – 2.8.

Public News/Talk 89.7 WUSF trends up 2.6 – 2.8 – 3.3 for its best showing since 2014.

Bonneville AC 101.1 KOSI retains the Mile High lead 6.2 to 6.1. Audacy Hot AC “Alice 105.9” is off 5.8 to 5.6. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “103.5 The Fox” KRFX trends up 4.3 – 4.6 – 5.2. KSE Media Classic Hits “Kool 105” KXKL trends up 3.8 – 4.4 – 5.0. Bonneville Country 98.5 KYGO and Audacy Classic Rock “99.5 The Mountain” KQMT both are down 5.1 to 4.9.

Radio One Adult R&B “Magic 95.9” WWIN-FM is up 5.6 to 5.9. iHeartMedia Country 93.1 WPOC slides 6.4 to 5.2.
