For the first since at least before the pandemic, this Labor Day weekend is shaping up to be fairly busy on the format change side. As always, we will be first with tracking most of these changes as they take place.

Charlottesville VA – After stunting with live Dave Matthews Band performances, Monticello Media Classic Hits “Generations 102.3” WZGN flipped to Variety Hits “102.3 The Hook” WHUK.
Cincinnati – Grant County Broadcasters has flipped suburban “Classic Country 106.7” WNKR Williamstown KY to Classic Hits “The Oasis” assuming the programming heard on 105.9 WNKN Middletown OH.
Detroit – Adell Communications flipped “Superstation 910” WFDF to Conservative Talk on Tuesday, September 5.
Edmonton – Stingray will flip Oldies “W1440” CKJR Wetaskiwin/Edmonton AB to “Sports 1440” on Tuesday, September 5.
Jacksonville – Cox Media Group swapped frequencies on Adult R&B “Hot 99.5” W258CN/WOKV-HD2 and Alternative “X106.5” WXXJ (to become WHJX) at 5pm on Thursday, August 31.
Las Vegas – Kemp Broadcasting 90s/2000s Hits “106.9 Da Bomb” KVGQ flips to Classic Hip Hop.
Lewiston ID – McVey Entertainment Group Classic Country 1350 KRLC/93.1 K226CT shut down on August 31 after losing its transmitter site.
Long Island – JVC Media launched Spanish Talk “En Vivo 93.3” 1440 WLIM/W227CL on Tuesday, September 5.
New York – Hope Media Group will closed on its purchase of Caribbean 93.5 WVIP and launched its Spanish Christian “Vida Unidas” network under new WNVU calls.
Nogales MX – Gusar Telecomunicaciones debuted Bustos Media’s Spanish Rhythmic “Urbana” brand on 104.3 XHAZE-FM Nogales.
Pampa TX – Southwest Media Group relaunched Classic Rock 103.3 KDRL as “103.3 The Arrow” KRWP.
South Bend IN – Sound Management flipped Classic Hits “Throwback 102.3” WYET to Adult R&B “The New 102.3“.
Springfield MA – New England Public Media will rearrange their signals into new News/Talk and Classical networks on Monday, September 4.
Toledo – Cumulus Media Hot AC “Q105.5” WQQO flipped to 90s/2000s Hits.
Toronto – Evanov’s LGBTQ+ “Proud-FM 103.9” CIRR-FM signed-off on September 1 with some of its programming being integrated into co-owned Rhythmic Hot AC “Z103.5” CIDC.
Tulsa – Griffin Media Classic Hits “92.9 The Drive” KBEZ relaunched as “92.9 The River” KRQV with a move away from a Rock leaning presentation.
Expected Changes
Medford OR – Opus Broadcasting will close on its purchase of Soft AC “The Breeze 97.7” KORJ and debut a new format with KKWL call letters.
Tampa – Cox Media Group has registered a number of domains for CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI.
