Longtime Las Vegas General Manager Tom Humm has returned to the Beasley Media cluster as Vice President of Business Development.
Hum previously served as VP/Market Manager of the Beasley Las Vegas cluster from 2008 to 2018 after a decade running CBS Radio Las Vegas. The Las Vegas native spent his entire career in the market beginning as an Account Executive with 1140 KLUC/98.5 KLUC-FM in 1978, then as General Manager of 94.1 KXTZ from 1984 to 1991 followed by stints at KEYV/KFMS before returning to KLUC in 1993 eventually adding other stations through consolidation led to that cluster coming under CBS’ ownership. He also served as a football coach locally after playing at the University of Nebraska with his brother former Raiders Quarteback and later analyst David Humm.
Beasley Media Group announces Tom Humm has been named Vice President of Business Development at Beasley Media Group’s Las Vegas-based radio properties.
In his newly created position, Humm will be responsible for working closely with Vice President and Market Manager Michael Cutchall in developing new business relationships for the market, creating new revenue streams, and increasing revenue with existing clients.
The veteran media executive served as Vice President and Market Manager of the company’s Las Vegas-based radio properties from 2008 – 2018.
Prior to joining Beasley, Humm served as General Manager for CBS’ Las Vegas radio cluster, a position he attained in 1998 when the company acquired stations under his management.
A Las Vegas native and widely respected local broadcaster, Tom Humm received the Nevada Broadcasters Association’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. He was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 1999.Humm entered the broadcast field as an account executive with KLUC in 1978 and was promoted to Local Sales Manager before assuming the role of GM of KXTZ in 1984; a position he held until 1991 when he departed for the GM position of KEYV/KFMS. Coming full circle, he returned to KLUC as GM in 1993, overseeing that station as well as KVEG (now KXNT) and KXNO (now KSFN).
The 1998 CBS purchase added KMZQ & KMXB to his managerial duties. His early Las Vegas days include graduation from Bishop Gorman High School, where he returned as a teacher and football coach following his own football career at the University of Nebraska.
