On-air changes have taken place at Audacy Gold CHR “B96” WBBM-FM Chicago as “The Morning Mess” has come to an end.
All references to the morning show have been removed with co-host Karla Hernandez heard doing a music-intensive show today. Fellow co-host Jeana Shepard was heard in middays in place of Audacy national tracker Julia. Jordan ‘Dash’ Orman-Weiss, who joined WBBM-FM in July as afternoon host remains in place as does national host Josh ‘Bru’ Brubaker at night. The third member of the Morning Mess, Aneesh Ratan has exited.
“The Morning Mess” began in Phoenix at “Live 101.5” KALV-FM Phoenix in 2014 with ‘Joey Boy’ Rodriguez and ‘Lady La’ hosting. Ratan joined the show in 2015 with Hernandez and Shepard joining him and Rodriguez in January 2019. The foursome were syndicated to “97.1 Amp” KAMP Los Angeles from August 2020 until that station’s demise in December 2021. The show would join WBBM-FM in March 2022 with the hosts relocating to Chicago. Rodriguez would depart the Chicago show last August to relocate back to Phoenix where he would launch a new local show on KALV-FM.
No official word yet from the station on what comes next.
