Angry Audio, Logitek & MaxxKonnect Merge Into Triple Helix Technologies

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
April 10, 2024

Triple Helix Technologies MaxxKonnect Angry Audio LogitekThree broadcast technology companies are merging to form Triple Helix Technologies.

The merger of equals brings Angry Audio, Logitek, and MaxxKonnect together under one umbrella with each brand becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary. MaxxKonnect founder Josh Bohn will serve as CEO with Angry Audio’s Mike ‘Catfish’ Dosch leading product development and Logitek’s Tag Borland as “Technology Wrangler”.

Bohn commented that the company’s goal is to make modern technologies accessible to even the smallest broadcasters, “We’re not afraid to shake things up a bit and try something new. My roots are in smaller-market radio stations, where I learned how to perform miracles on a shoestring budget “This is the genesis for Triple Helix Technology where we are using technology innovation to help broadcasters with more modest budgets do more and spend less. For example, Logitek offers us the ability to provide some amazing new AoIP options at a price point that even smaller broadcasters can afford without compromising on quality or features.”

The company provides services including Logitek’s AoIP products and digital broadcast consoles, Angry Audio’s “gadgets and gizmos” that solve various problems for broadcasters and podcasters and their StudioHub line of products, and MaxxKonnect’s technical design and integration side as well as MaxxKonnect Wireless prioritized LTE service for broadcast & other industries

MaxxKonnect, was originally founded by Bohn in 1998, designs and builds services for studio and transmitter sites through their MK Integration group and the wireless services. Bohn has also served as an engineer for Clear Channel, Radio One, Cumulus, Main Line Broadcasting, and  Delmarva Broadcasting.

Michael ‘Catfish’ Dosch started as a console designer with Pacific Research & Engineering and later rose to  VP/COO. He then was founded the Axia Audio division of the Telos Alliance and spent time at Lawo as product manager for their radio group. He founded Angry Audio in 2018 manufacturing “problem-solving products for professional broadcasters. They design gadgets and gizmos that solve difficult studio problems for broadcasters and podcasters, in addition to the StudioHub line of products, the de-facto standard for transporting audio over twisted-pair wiring using RJ45 connections.”

Borland co-founded Logitek Electronic Systems in 1979 and has continued to lead the company and service as its principal equipment designer serving broadcast and pro-audio with products including the 1RU Jet67 mix engine, and MixIt and Helix consoles and Helix Studio soft surface which all natively speak AES67, Livewire, Ravenna, and (optionally) Dante. Borland commented, “We’re super excited to bring affordable AoIP options to the market and have a whole new range of products coming down the pipe.”

Dosch added, “This greatly expands our mix of products and services, but what is more interesting is the synergy in the combined group. Just wait until you see what’s next!”
