Alpha Media News/Talk 101.1 KXL Portland OR has appointed Heather Roberts as co-anchor of Portland’s Morning News alongside Brett Reckamp.

Roberts had been serving as a fill-in anchor for the past two months since Veronica Carter’s move to KOGO San Diego in September. She was most recently working as a Field Producer for ABC News and held multiple roles in the Bend OR market in news, promotions and sales. Roberts also owns and operates the Oregon Radio News Network with KXL becoming its ninth affiliate.

KXL News Director Grant McHill stated, “Heather is a consummate professional, who has demonstrated her news chops across Oregon. When we started the process of searching for our next anchor, we made it a priority to find someone who has a relentless sense for finding the stories that matter. So, we’re fired up to welcome Heather to the team.”
