Cumulus Media has announced the appointment of CJ Jackson as Program Director of Hip Hop “E93” WEAS-FM Springfield/Savannah and Adult R&B “https://www.magic1039fm.com/” WTYB Bluffton SC/Savannah GA.
Jackson joins the duo from Cumulus Charleston SC where he has served as Music Director since August. He spent the majority of his career in Savannah starting as evening host on WEAS-FM from 2012-15 before spending eight and half years programming iHeartMedia’s duo of Hip Hop “94.1 The Beat” WQBT and Adult R&B “Love 101.1” WLVH from 2016 until last July. He will also host afternoons on WEAS-FM and nights on WTYB.
Jackson stated, “It feels good to come back to the two stations that gave me my start. I look forward to helping usher in this new era of radio with my Cumulus family.”
Cumulus Savannah VP/Market Manager Eric Mastel added, “We’re excited to welcome CJ back to Cumulus Savannah. His deep community and client relationships and great passion for this market will elevate our brands.”
He fills the vacancy created by the passing of former cluster Operations Manager Gary ‘DJ Rax” Shelton in May.
