TEGNA Sports “97.1 The Fan” WBNS-FM Columbus Station Manager/Director of Sales Cody Welling is joining Cumulus Media as Regional Vice President and Market Manager for the company’s Flint and Saginaw MI clusters.

Welling has led WBNS-FM since July 2023 after previously serving as General Sales Manager from 2018-2020. This marks his third tenure with Cumulus previously serving as Local Sales Manager in Toledo OH from 2007-11 and then GSM and then Director of Sales in that market from 2013-16 followed by serving as VP/Market Manager in Shreveport LA from 2016 until 2018. He also has held roles as Director of Sales for Great Plains Media Bloomington IL and Cox Media Group Tulsa.
