NRG Media News/Talk 1400 KLIN/99.3 K257GN Lincoln NE morning host Jack Mitchell is adding hosting “Drive Time Lincoln” in afternoons to roles at the station.
Mitchell has hosted “LNK Today with Jack and Friends” from 6-9am since 2006. He will now host the 5-6pm hour that had been helmed by Doug Fitzgerald since last April.
The Lincoln Journal-Star reports that Mitchell told listeners on Wednesday that he volunteered to take over the timeslot with Fitzgerald’s exit to focus on his other businesses. The show will be rebranded to its original name from “Drive Time Nebraska”, while also shifting focus from straight Conservative Talk to a mix of local news and sports topics in the first half-hour followed by an interview in the second.
