After launching the WSRZ Sarasota based “David & Meredith” morning show across Classic Hits and Oldies last fall, the show is now expanding to the AC format with its debut today on “Mix 99.5” WMAG Greensboro NC.
Hosted by David Jones and Meredith Michaels, the show was known as “Jones and Company” at WSRZ with the duo being paired together since 2017. Jones had been with WSRZ since 1988 following the station from CHR “Z106” through its flip to “Oldies 106.5” in 1990 and then moving to 107.9 in 1999. Michaels previously worked at iHeart’s Tampa cluster prior to moving to WSRZ in 2017.
The duo said, “We are absolutely thrilled to be joining the Mix 99.5 family as your new morning show team! The show succeeds Hannah Tyler in mornings at WMAG following Tyler’s exit in the company’s June layoffs. Tyler joined WMAG in February 2023 to team with Scotty Blaisdell until his exit in August 2024. She previously served as morning co-host and midday host at Cumulus Media Country “98.1 K-Bull” KBUL-FM Reno from 2016 to 2020 and has also worked in Fargo ND and St. Cloud MN in her career.
