One month after exiting the “Rob, Arnie and Dawn” morning show at Entercom Rock “98 Rock” 98.5 KRXQ Sacramento, Arnie States is returning to the station to join its afternoon show.
States was dismissed from the morning show, which is operated by host Rob Williams’ Williams Broadcasting on March 10 following a month long leave-of-absence. The show has dropped all references to States and rebranded as “Rob, Nobody and Dawn” on KRXQ and its three other affiliates: KDOT Reno, KBRE Merced and KHRE Redding. The trio had been together since 1996 when the show debuted at KDOT. Williams and States also briefly pulled double-duty with an afternoon Sports Talk show in Sacramento and Reno.
States will join KRXQ’s afternoon show on Monday, April 13 that currently features Dog Face, Joe Maumee, and Orphan Andrew. In a brief statement KRXQ Operations Manager Jim Fox stated, “After being a big piece of Sacramento’s most successful radio show, Arnie brings substantial equity to afternoons — 3-7pm on 98 Rock is now a powerhouse of talent. Expect Dog, Joe, Andy and Arnie to deliver engaging content and laughs to the drive home every weekday.”
