Nielsen Audio has released Day 2 of its monthly four day sweep of ratings in PPM markets.

Today’s releases include Washington DC, Boston, Miami, Seattle, Detroit, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Diego, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Denver, Baltimore, and St. Louis.

Numbers of note for this month:

• The addition of Fitz for mornings and Scott Mahalick as Program Director of Hubbard Country “98.9 The Bull” KNUC Seattle in April have paid quick dividends as the station has moved ahead of Entercom’s incumbent “100.7 The Wolf” KKWF by a 4.3 to 4.1 margin.
• iHeartMedia Classic Rock 102.5 KZOK Seattle moved from a first place tie last month to having a 1.5 share lead as it rose from 6.1 to 7.0. Public News/Talk 94.9 KUOW slid 5.6 to 5.5 but moved up from third, while Hubbard CHR “Movin 92.5” KQMV dropped from the first place tie to third with a 6.1 to 5.3 move.
• Also in Seattle, iHeartMedia Variety Hits “96.5 Jack-FM” KJAQ has trended 3.7 – 4.5 – 5.1 over past three months.
• Beasley Media Classic Hits “Q105” 104.7 WRBQ Tampa jumps from a 5.3 to 6.7 to solidify its hold on second place in the market behind Cox Soft AC “105.5 The Dove” WDUV’s 8.6.
• Entercom AC 96.5 KYXY San Diego shows a three month trend of 3.5 – 4.2 – 5.2.
• After setting a record low with a 2.6 share last month, Cumulus Media News/Talk 760 WJR Detroit plummets down to a 2.0 share this month.
• After a few down books following the launch of 106.7 WLLZ, Beasley Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX Detroit rebounds 6.5 to 7.2 while WLLZ drops 4.3 to 4.1.
• The Country battle in Denver narrows as iHeartMedia’s “106.7 The Bull” KWBL rises 3.2 – 3.7. Beasley’s 98.5 KYGO continues to hold the market lead but is down 6.0 – 5.8.
• Despite flipping from Urban AC to Rhythmic Classic Hits halfway through the period, 97.7 WKAF Boston holds steady at a 2.6. Beasley’s market leading Classic Hits continues its dominance with a three month trend of 7.6 – 8.2 – 8.8
• The Country battle in Boston also narrows as Beasley’s 102.5 WKLB drops 4.7 to 4.0, while iHeartMedia’s “101.7 The Bull” WBWL rises 2.1 to 2.7.
• In its first full monthly as “K-Love“, EMF’s 107.3 WLVW Washington DC registers a 0.9 share. Two of the three stations that had shown gains following “Mix 107.3” WRQX’s demise, failed to retain its new audience. CHR “Hot 99.5” WIHT trended 3.7 to 4.6 back to 3.7, while Country 98.7 WMZQ went 3.5 – 4.1 – 3.6. AC 97.1 WASH held on with a 4.5 – 5.3 – 5.4 move.
• Hearst News/Talk 1090 WBAL Baltimore falls to a 1.8 share for a station low. Hope Christian Church of Marlton’s Christian “Hope-FM” W248AO/WLIF-HD2 trends 1.2 – 1.5 – 2.0.
