Hubbard Radio Country “98.9 The Bull” KNUC Seattle has announced a major upheaval with the addition of former Alpha Media Executive Vice President of Content Scott Mahalick has joined the station as Brand and Content Director and The Fitz Show for mornings.
Mahalick and Fitz both previously worked at Entercom’s competing “100.7 The Wolf” KKWF Seattle. Mahalick also programmed “95.7 The Wolf” KBWF San Francisco, was Managing Partner in Aurora Media, which owned Dance “94.5 The Vibe” KVBE Moapa/Las Vegas in the late 2000s and served in multiple corporate roles at Citadel Broadcasting under Alpha founder Larry Wilson.
After exiting KKWF after twelve years in 2017, Fitz has continued his syndicated morning and weekend shows through Sun Broadcast Group.
No word yet on the status of current morning hosts Tim Leary, Claire Beverly and Karen ‘Red’ Daiss who joined KNUC soon after its launch in early 2018 or Program Director Lisa Adams.
KNUC midday host Seth Hughes will slide over to the vacant morning slot on sister AC “Warm 106.9” KRWM. Hughes previously served as APD/MD/afternoon host of KKWF under Mahalick and then afternoon and morning host at 94.1 KMPS.
