Following the merger of its former “Cowboy Country” brand into “Y95” 95.1 KCGY Laramie in mid-January, Townsquare Media has debuted CHR “106.3 Now-FM” KLEN Cheyenne WY.
The new brand is positioning as “Cheyenne’s Hit Music Station”. The Cheyenne market was previously served by a pair of rimshots in White Park Broadcasting’s “iMix 104.5” KIMX Centennial/Laramie and iHeartMedia’s “96.1 Kiss-FM” KSME Greeley CO. The new format will also fill the hole to be created by Townsquare’s planned downgrade of Hot AC “99.9 The Point” KKPL Cheyenne to exclusively cover the Fort Collins CO market.
Both KLEN and KKPL will share the syndicated Jubal Show in mornings. KLEN will then feature WLHT Grand Rapids’ Christine in middays. KLEN Brand Manager Jon ‘Jax’ Kleeman will host afternoons in addition to his morning show on KCGY.
