The Bret Mega Show, based in mornings at Audacy Hot AC “Y98” KYKY St. Louis, will soon be receiving a national roll-out.
The push will start with the show’s move from afternoons to mornings at Hot AC “99.7 The Point” KZPT Kansas City starting on Monday, June 16. KZPT has carried the show in afternoons since February 2024 where they will now fill the morning slot vacated by Ponch & Nikki in the company’s March layoffs. The Bret Mega Show also currently airs in afternoons on “105.3 The Buzz” KFBZ Wichita KS.
Mega joined KYKY as morning host in April 2021 after previously hosting mornings at “Hot 93.3” KLIF-FM Dallas. He has also served as morning show producer at “Power 96.1” WWPW Atlanta and has worked on air at WKSC Chicago, KWNW Memphis and KZBD Spokane.
The Bret Mega Show also features Hannah Gibbs, Kevin Berghoff, and Anna Bohlmann.

This comment is purely business, because I don’t like to see people lose their jobs. This makes total sense, the company needs to start having tent pole shows as they roll out infinity networks. It’s obvious they’ve been trying to compete head on with iHeart for the last few years and this would be the only strategic leverage they have right now if they start, but let’s be real, premier networks is still miles ahead, and iHeart is still a much better leverage platform. I wish them luck in changing perception, they really do have the talent working for that company. Honestly, I prefer most of their programming anyway, and would be likely to do business with them if I were in a position. we still live in an era, where if you mention a station owned by Audacy, the first question is, is it on iHeart? spoiler alert, with promotion, it’s not about how much, but how, but corporate‘s gonna corporate.
