Audacy has officially announced the move of Sports “1080 The Fan” KFXX Portland OR to FM as it will begin simulcasting on 105.1 KRSK Molalla on Tuesday, July 22.
The revamped “105.1 The Fan” will come with additional local programming under newly named Brand Manager Dusty Harrah. The station will also continue to serve as home for University of Oregon sports play-by-play.
The new lineup will see morning hosts Andy ‘Dirt’ Johnson and Brandon Sprague’s show extended an hour to run from 6-10am. A new midday show “The Firm of Harris and Marang” featuring Danny Marang and Patrick Harris from 10am-1pm replaces Fox Sports Radio’s “The Herd with Colin Cowherd”. Morang previously co-hosted 12-3pm with Harrah, while Harris was a part-time host. The University of Oregon’s “Duck Insider” hosted by ‘Joey Mac’ McMurry will move to a live clearance in the 1pm hour. “The Happy Hour with Luke Andersen” will follow from 2-3pm.
“Primetime with Isaac and Suke” hosted by Isaac Ropp and Jason ‘Big Suke’ Scukanec will be extended to run from 3-7pm. ESPN Radio programming will continue to be heard at night with some weekly specialty shows such as “The Recruiting Show with Andrew Nemec” on Thursdays from 7-8pm.
With his rise to Brand Manager for KFXX/KRSK and “910 ESPN” KMTT Vancouver WA, Harrah comes off the weekday lineup. Harrah began his career at the station in 2009 rising from board-op to update anchor, sideline reporter for high school football and basketball broadcasts, a weekend host, daily afternoon drive producer, morning drive host and finally midday host. He also is sideline reporter for University of Oregon football broadcasts. He succeeds Jeff Austin, who retired in May after sixteen years leading the station.
Audacy Portland SVP/Market Manager Ryan Cooley said, “We’re incredibly excited to bring The FAN to the FM dial. This move is long overdue and all about delivering a better listening experience for our audience with clearer sound and great content our fans know and love. For the first time in our history, our entire primetime on-air lineup will be 100% local and led by our new Brand Manager, Dusty Harrah, a native Oregonian.”
The Sports format, which will celebrate its 35th birthday this September, began in 1990 on 1520. It then moved to 910 in 1998 and 1080 in 2004 giving it a 50kW daytime/9kW nighttime signal. KFXX is currently one of three Sports stations in Portland featuring local talk shows as it registered a 2.1 share in the June 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings placing it ahead of Alpha Media’s “750 The Game” KXTG and its 0.7 share and iHeartMedia’s “Rip City Radio” 620 KPOJ and its 0.6 share.
The move marks the end of Hot AC on 105.1 after 27 years and four brand names. The station flipped from Classic Rock to “Rosie 105” KRSK in 1998. It would be slightly shifted to “Rosey 105” in 2000 following a lawsuit from Rosie O’Donnell and Warner Brother alleging trademark infrigement. It would then become “105.1 The Buzz” in 2003 until another revamp in March 2024 brought the “Bella 105” identity. The station dropped to a 2.4 share in the June 2025 ratings.
