Cox Media Group Country “K99.1” WHKO-FM Dayton OH has announced the addition of Thomas ‘TJ’ Johnson as its new night host.

Johnson joins WHKO-FM from sister CHR 106.1 WBLI Patchogue NY where he has been hosting weekends. The Long Island native had a previous stint in Dayton working at Hip Hop “Hot 102.9” WDHT from 2016 to 2020. He succeeds “K92.3” WWKA Orlando morning co-host Michael ‘Slater’ Wheaton, who has hosted nights on WHKO-FM as ‘Jordan Knight” for the past decade.

Johnson said, “I’m really excited to be back on the air in Dayton. I have a lot of great memories from my time here, and getting the chance to reconnect with the market while doing New Country Nights is pretty special. I can’t wait to hang with K99.1 listeners every night.”
