Beasley Media AC 99.5 WJBR-FM Wilmington DE has come out of the holiday season with a new name.
Now calling itself “Mix 99.5“, the rebranding of WJBR comes as the station recently appointed Rich DeSisto as Program Director. A new airstaff is pending as the station has openings in mornings, middays, and afternoons with the syndicated Delilah at night.
Along with the move, WJBR seems to be slightly expanding its marketing presence beyond the Delaware state line. With a signal that covers most of Philadelphia and its suburbs, the station has replaced all references of Delaware with Delaware Valley.
They sound a bit confused on air- they’re referring to themselves mostly as “Mix 99.5 WJBR”, as if they’re not quite sure they want new branding yet. And they still have some of the soft 80’s songs that brighter sounding AC’s have ditched. Heard Chicago’s “Will You Still Love Me?” into Imagine Dragons “Believer” earlier.
