Ahead of the closing of its acquisition by Apollo Global Holdings, Cox Media Group CHR “Hits 97.3” WFLC Miami has cut ties with morning host DJ Laz.
Lazaro ‘DJ Laz’ Mendez joined WFLC in August 2014. He has been a market stalwart for most of his career, which included 22 years at “Power 96” 96.5 WPOW from 1990 to 2012 and then a run at Spanish Broadcasting Systems where he hosted mornings at both “LA 96.3” KXOL Los Angeles and “DJ 106.7“ WRMA Miami.
