iHeartMedia has announced the addition of Dave Tepper as Program Director of News/Talk/Sports 850 KOA Denver/94.1 K231AA Boulder/94.1 K231BQ Golden.
Tepper joins iHeartMedia from KSE Media where he served as Operations Manager and Program Director of Sports “Altitude Sports Radio” 92.5 KKSE-FM Broomfield/Denver and Sports Betting 950 KKSE Parker since August 2018. He has previously served as Operations Manager for NRG Media Omaha, Program Director for “ESPN 97.5” KFNC Houston, and host at “ESPN Austin” and “97.1 Free-FM” KLSX and 790 KABC Los Angeles.
Tepper will also be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos radio networks. He fills the position created by the exits of Greg Foster and Tim Spence last month.
iHeartMedia announced today that Dave Tepper has been named Program Director for KOA 850 AM and 94.1 FM, Colorado’s News, Talk & Sports Station, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Denver has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than eight stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Program Director, Tepper will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of KOA, the Rockies Radio Network and Broncos Radio Network and will lead and manage all aspects of the on-air experience, including talent, content, programming, and online presence. He will report to JoJo Turnbeaugh, Region Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Rockies Region.

Tepper joins Denver from Altitude Sports Radio 92.5 & 950, where he most recently served as the Program Director and Operations Manager for the KSE Radio cluster that also included KXKL and KIMN. He also served as the Operations Manager for NRG Media in Omaha, Nebraska overseeing KOZN 1620 the Zone and News Talk 1290 KOIL, while spending a season as Studio Coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs NFL Radio Network for Cumulus in Overland Park, Kansas; after his first Program Director opportunity at KFNC ESPN 97.5 FM and KGOW Yahoo! Sports Radio 1560AM in Houston, TX. His previous experience also includes hosting sports talk in Houston and Austin, TX after getting started in radio at KLSX and KABC in Los Angeles, CA.
