Cumulus Media has appointed Michelle Matthews as Program Director of Hot AC 96.3 WDVD Detroit.

Matthews most recently served as Operations Manager for Saga Communications’ Columbus OH cluster where she programmed AC “Sunny 95” 94.7 WSNY and Hot AC “Mix 107.9” WVMX from 2015 until this April when here position was eliminated. She previously served as Program Director of Classic Hits 103.3 KLOU St. Louis, Digital Program Director for iHeartMedia St. Louis, OM/Regional Programming Manager for Clear Channel Omaha, Wichita and Sioux City, Operations Manager for Saga Springfield IL, PD of KTOZ/KXUS Springfield MO, APD of KXPK Denver, and MD of KALC Denver during her career.

She fills the role that had been held by David Corey until his exit with the announced sale of sister “New Country 93.1” WDRQ in June.

Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that it has appointed Michelle Matthews as Program Director for Hot AC station 96.3 WDVD-FM in Detroit.

Matthews was previously Operations Manager/Brand Manager for Saga Communications in Columbus, OH, and brings 30 years’ experience in radio programming and operations to Cumulus Media. Prior to that, she was Digital Program Director for Classic Hits station KLOU-FM in St. Louis, MO. She was also Regional Programming Manager, Omaha/Wichita/Sioux City for Clear Channel/iHeartMedia, and Operations Manager for Clear Channel/iHeartMedia’s five station group in Omaha, NE.
