September 12, 2025

National Radio Hall of Fame Induction VotingThe Museum of Broadcast Communications is adding eight posthumous “Legends” inductees into its 2025 Radio Hall of Fame class.

Those being inducted are on-air personalities Amos Brown, Jed The Fish, Dale ‘The Truckin Bozo’ Sommers, and Don Wade, engineer Richard Burden, research executive Joanne Church, scriptwiter/producer/programmer Irna Phillips, and programmer Steve Smith.

Radio Hall of Fame Co-Chair Dennis Green said, “It is with the utmost sense of pride that we bestow Hall of Fame induction upon the Legends of Radio who are gone but will never be forgotten. These iconic broadcasters made a lasting impact on the industry, and we honor them and their contributions to the rich history of radio.”

Co-Chair Kraig Kitchen added, “Each of these individuals contributed to the growth and vibrance of our radio industry and are worthy of induction. I’m thrilled to see recognition for their talents and efforts and heartened that their family, friends and colleagues can witness this well-deserved honor.”

They will join the previously announced class of Tom ‘Mojo’ Carballo, Alice Cooper, Colin Cowherd, Bob Lacey & Sheri Lynch, DeDe McGuire, Mike McVay, Martha Quinn, Scott Simon, Shelley ‘The Playboy’ Stewart, and Julie Talbott in the induction ceremony on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Swissotel Hotel in Chicago.
