Usher Media has announced three promotions at its soon-to-be Omaha cluster.
Stacie McElligott rises from Director of Sales to Assistant General Manager. She has spent her entire 24 year career at the cluster starting as a producer at Sports “1620 The Zone” KOZN and worked on-air at Hot AC “Sweet 98.5” KQKQ and AAA “106.9 The City” KCTY before moving into sales. She rose to General Sales Manager in 2009 and Director of Sales in 2023. Owner Alan Usher said, “Stacie’s promotion is really well deserved. She’s done just about everything in this business, so she understands how it all fits together. She works hard, she cares about the team, and people trust her. I’m excited to see her take on this important role for our company.”
The company has also filled its two vacant Program Director roles internally. Megan Rieder rises to PD of Hot AC “Sweet 98.5” KQKQ. Rieder joined the station in December 2023 as morning co-host alongside Jason Spicoli. She previously has held roles as midday host at SummitMedia Rock “Z92” KEZO-FM from 2015 to 2020 and Alpha Media Country “KX 96.9” KZKX Lincoln from 2020 to 2023. She commented, “To lead a station like Sweet 98.5, with its history and connection to Omaha, is incredibly special. I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to continue building something listeners love every day.”
APD/afternoon host Alyssa Siebken takes the PD reins at Hip Hop “Power 106.9” KOPW. A former American Idol contestant, Siebken joined KOPW in 2019 as morning co-host and rose to APD last March. She also would host middays at KQKQ during her tenure with the stations. She stated, “To lead Power 106.9 and continue building on the momentum of this brand is an exciting opportunity/ I’m grateful for the team around me and look forward to continuing to connect with our audience in new ways.”
