Update 10/24: WZGC made its long expected flip to Sports at 2pm today. The station is emphasizing itself as Atlanta’s only Sports station that is live & local 24/7.
In addition to the daytime lineup announced earlier, the rest of WZGC’s airstaff will consist of the previously announced Jason Goff paired with Mac McDonald from 6 to 10pm, “Big” Jim Murray most recently of sister WBZ-FM Boston from 10pm to 2am, and Dave-FM holdover Mitch Evans from 2am to 6am. Former Atlanta Brave Ryan Klesko will host an outdoors show on Saturday mornings.

Original Report 10/10: CBS AAA “92.9 Dave-FM” WZGC Atlanta will make its previously announced flip to Sports “92.9 The Game” on Wednesday, October 24 at 2:00pm.
The morning show will feature CBS NFL analyst Randy Cross and NBA-TV host Rick Kamla along with CJ Simpson, the morning co-host at the former “95.5 The Beat” WBTS.
From 10am to 2pm will be Jerome Jurenovich, best known for his long run as sportscaster on CNN Headline News and currently serves as studio host for Atlanta Braves and Hawks broadcasts. He will be paired with NFL Network’s Jaime Dukes, a former lineman for the Atlanta Falcons.
Afternoon drive will be anchored by Carl Dukes, most recently at “ESPN 97.5” KFNC Houston. He will be joined by Rachel Baribeau, formerly of “97.3 The Zone” WZNN Birmingham and former Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Kordell Stewart.
Former “670 The Score” WSCR Chicago Producer/Fill-In Host Jason Goff will host the night show, continuing the trend of CBS bringing up and comers from its established Sports stations to fill key shifts at its newer stations.
The remainder of the lineup will be announced in the coming days. A number of other personalities will be involved with the station as fill-in hosts and regular commentators. Among them are former Atlanta Brave Ryan Klesko, former Brave and Falcon Brian Jordan, former NBA players Dennis Scott and Sam Mitchell, former Falcon Ovie Mughelli, and Bob Neal, the longtime voice of the NBA on TBS and TNT.
92.9 has been running automated AAA with occasional national Sports play-by-play since the beginning of the month.
Jerome Jurenovich was also a former talent on Fox Sports Radio, no?
Randy Cross no longer works NFL games — he’s an analyst for college football on CBS Sports Network.
For those who don’t know Jason Goff, GREAT hire. I am a long time listener to “The Score”, and he will be missed. Good Luck Jason on your new gig.
Why doesn’t your article mention overnight being hosted by ATLANTA radio vet Mitch Evans? He’s great —
Because that wasn’t announced with the rest of the lineup.
I read that Mitch will be doing a 2-6am show
Anyone know anything about this Jim Murray guy hosting 10pm-2am?
