Oceanic Tradewinds has announced it has chosen Compass Media Networks as syndication partner of the Frank Ski Show.
Currently heard in mornings at Cox Media Group’s “Kiss 104.1” WALR Palmetto/Atlanta GA and
afternoons at Howard University Adult R&B 96.3 WHUR Washington DC, it was announced in August that the show would enter national syndication.
Ski and co-host Nina Brown joined WHUR in August 2020 and added WALR in February 2021 following the expiration of his Atlanta non-compete. He previously hosted mornings at “V103” WVEE Atlanta from 1998 to 2012 and again from 2018 to 2020. He also held the afternoon shift at WHUR from 2013 to 2015 in-between his two stints at WVEE. Prior to coming to Atlanta, Ski spent a decade in Baltimore working at “V103” WXYV and “92Q” WERQ where he was also influential in the then strong Baltimore house music scene of the late 80s and early 90s. His 1993 song “Whores in This House” was notably sampled in Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP”.

The Frank Ski Show, hosted by Frank Ski with Nina Brown, currently airs in morning drive in Atlanta on Cox Media Group’s WALR-FM and afternoons in Washington, DC on Howard University’s WHUR-FM. In both markets, the show enjoys impressive ratings and will be produced to enable affiliates to broadcast the Program on all urban genres and all prime dayparts.
