Nielsen begins its monthly release of PPM ratings with today’s Day 1 update including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston/Galveston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Long Island, Riverside/San Bernardino, San Jose, and Middlesex/Somerset/Union.

iHeartMedia AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW rises 8.5 to 11.3, which Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes is a new December high for the station beating its 9.7 in 2021. iHeart has four of the top five stations with Classic Rock “Q104.3” WAXQ in second up 6.4 to 6.7. CHR “Z100” WHTZ (5.4 to 4.9) tied for third with Audacy Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM (5.2 to 4.9). iHeart Hot AC 103.5 WKTU jumps back up 3.7 to 4.7.

MediaCo Adult R&B 107.5 WBLS trends down 5.4 – 5.0 – 4.5. Audacy News 1010 WINS/92.3 WINS-FM is down 4.8 to 4.1. Univision Spanish CHR “X96.3” WXNY slides 3.0 – 2.7 – 2.3.

Audacy News 880 WCBS falls 2.3 – 1.9 – 1.7 for what Huff notes is the lowest share ever recorded by the station. MediaCo Hip Hop “Hot 97” WQHT drops 2.2 to 1.9, which is the lowest share in the history of the format and lowest on the frequency since Summer 1987 when WYNY flipped from AC to Country.

Audacy Classic Hip Hop “94.7 The Block” WXBK is down 2.1 to 1.6.

Los Angeles

iHeartMedia AC 103.5 KOST nearly doubles its share up 5.3 to 10.1. iHeart also has four of the top five stations in Los Angeles with News/Talk 640 KFI holding at a 5.1 to tie for second with Audacy Classic Hits “K-Earth 101” KRTH down 5.8 to 5.1. iHeart CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM dips 4.9 to 4.7 to tie for fourth with sister Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG down 5.5 to 4.7.

Audacy Rhythmic AC “94.7 The Wave” KTWV trends down 4.6 – 4.4 – 3.9. Univision Regional Mexican “LA 101.9” KSCA falls 3.0 – 2.2 – 1.8. Meruelo Media Hip Hop “Power 106” KPWR slides 1.9 – 1.7 – 1.5.
