After fourteen years as part of the morning show at iHeartMedia Country 92.3 WCOL Columbus OH, Kayla Hanley will depart the station at the end of the week.
Hanley has been with WCOL since starting as an intern in 2013 and rose from producer to co-host of what is now “Zuko & Kayla” with Program Director Dan Zuko in 2022.
Hanley wrote, “This Friday will be my last day on WCOL 🫶 This wasn’t an easy decision to make especially since we are on top of the world here on “Zuko and Kayla” but I’ve been given a job opportunity to be home with my girls (especially the mornings), and be more present for them, myself and my family and friends. I am forever grateful to Zuko because 5-10am IS a highlight of my day. You’ve taught me so much these last few years especially, that’s helped me through so much and I can never say thank you enough for what we built and have done together, but it’s time for me to take this version of Kayla into the next chapter. To everyone I’ve met in person, on the phone, through the radio speakers, in this building, at concerts and more you have made me so happy and will forever leave a mark on my heart and in my life. Thank you ❤️ I hope you can understand my intentions and reasons for leaving and of course continue to listen to WCOL, it’s the best damn radio station in the country with the best morning show host around.”
