Nielsen begins its monthly release of PPM ratings with today’s Day 1 update including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Long Island, Riverside/San Bernardino, San Jose, and Middlesex/Somerset/Union.

New York

Brady Z100 WHTZ New York Power 93.3 KPWX SeattleiHeartMedia takes the top three spots in New York with AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW leading the way down 8.9 to 8.2. Classic Rock “Q104.3” WAXQ is up 6.3 to 6.9. CHR “Z100” inches up 5.6 to 5.7, but enough of a gain for Ratings Expert Chris Huff to note it is the station’s highest share since March 2017. Audacy Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM trends up 4.8 – 5.2- 5.6. MediaCo Adult R&B 107.5 WBLS jumps 3.9 to 4.8.

Audacy Hot AC “New 102.7” WNEW rises 3.9 – 4.1 – 4.4. iHeartMedia’s 103.5 WKTU dips 3.9 to 3.6.

The three Hip Hop stations rise with iHeart’s “Power 105.1” WWPR-FM up 1.6 to 2.0, MediaCo’s “Hot 97” WQHT up 2.0 to 2.2, and Audacy’s Classic Hip Hop “94.7 The Block” WXBK rising 1.3 to 1.8.

Los Angeles

102.7 KIIS-FM Kiss FM Los AngelesAudacy Classic Hits “K-Earth 101” KRTH rises 5.7 to 6.4. iHeartMedia AC 103.5 KOST follows up 5.2 to 5.8. iHeart CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM is up 4.6 to 5.1, while Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG holds at a 4.7 share. Univision Spanish AC “Amor 107.5” KLVE rises 4.4 to 4.5.

iHeart News/Talk 640 KFI slides 4.6 – 4.0 – 3.7. Public News/Talk “LAist 89.3” KPCC trends down 2.1 – 1.8 – 1.6.

Univision Regional Mexican “La 101.9” KSCA rises 2.4 – 3.3 – 3.5, while SBS Regional Mexican “97.9 La Raza” KLAX is down 4.0 to 3.5. Univision Spanish Adult Hits “Recuerdo 103.9/98.3” KRCD/KRCV drops 3.7 – 3.3 – 2.5. Meruelo Spanish CHR “Cali 93.9” KLLI rises 1.8 – 2.0 – 2.4.

Chicago

93.9 Lite-FM WLIT ChicagoiHeartMedia Soft AC “93.9 Lite-FM” WLIT reclaims the top spot with a 6.3 to 6.6 rise followed by sister Adult R&B “V103” WVAZ moving 6.3 to 6.2. Hubbard Classic Rock “97.1 The Drive” WDRV is down from its record high share of 7.1 last month to a 6.1. Audacy News 780 WBBM/105.9 WCFS is up 5.2 to 5.4, while Country “US 99” WUSN holds at a 5.1 share.

Cumulus Media Classic Hits 94.7 WLS-FM rises 3.8 to 4.2. Hubbard Hot AC “101.9 The Mix” WTMX gains 2.7 to 3.2. Univision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 105.1” WOJO falls 5.2 – 4.2 – 3.7.

Nexstar Talk 720 WGN trends down 3.8 – 3.0 – 2.5 for what Huff notes is its lowest share since Holiday 2018. Audacy Sports “670 The Score” WSCR is down 3.2 to 2.7.

Hubbard Millennial Hits “Throwback 100.3” WTBC-FM continues its rise following its relaunch at the start of May up 1.4 – 1.6 – 2.2.

Alpha Media’s launch of “Free Country” on a pair of suburban signals ahead of Memorial Day weekend hasn’t shown much movement yet as 98.3 WCCQ is up 0.4 to 0.5, while 102.3 WXLC holds at a 0.2 following its move from Hot AC “Star 102.3“. Following its shift from Classic Rock to Classic Alternative, “95.9 The River” WERV inches up 0.2 to 0.3.

Dallas/Fort Worth

98.7 The Spot KLUV KSPF KLove DallasAudacy Classic Hits “98.7 The Spot” KSPF surges up 4.0 – 4.6 – 6.0 to rise to the top of the Metroplex. Audacy Variety Hits “100.3 Jack-FM” KJKK rises 4.0 to 4.5 to tie for fourth with Cumulus Country “99.5 The Wolf” KPLX as it is down 5.0 to 4.5.

MediaCo Regional Mexican “La Ranchera 106.7” KZZA jumps up 1.2 to 2.5.

The return of Rock “97.1 The Eagle” KEGL at the end of April continues to pay-off as the station continues to rise 1.3 – 2.2 – 2.7. Audacy Alternative “Alt 103.7” KVIL slides 2.6 – 2.4 – 2.2.

San Francisco

98.1 The Breeze KISQ San FranciscoBonneville AC 96.5 KOIT stops its four month slide as it rises 6.8 to 7.7. Public News/Talk 88.5 KQED-FM swings back up 7.1 – 5.9 – 7.1. Audacy News 740 KCBS/106.9 KFRC is down for the fourth straight monthly 5.7 to 5.4 to tie for third with iHeartMedia Soft AC “98.1 The Breeze” KISQ as it rises 4.5 – 5.1 – 5.4. Cumulus Media Sports 680 KNBR/104.5 KNBR-FM continues its rise 3.0 – 3.9 – 4.2 – 4.5.

Bonneville CHR “Now 99.7” KMVQ is down 4.6 to 4.2. iHeartMedia CHR “Wild 94.9” KYLD trends up 2.6 – 2.7 – 3.0.

Public News/Talk “News 88.7” KUHF-FM surges up 2.5 – 3.4 – 4.1 for what Huff notes is a station record high. Houston Christian Broadcasters Christian Preaching 105.7 KHCB-FM jumps up 1.7 to 3.1 for a record high of its own.

Radio One Country “93Q” KKBQ slides 5.2 – 4.3 – 3.9. Audacy Country “100.3 The Bull” KILT-FM drops 4.3 – 3.6 – 3.2.

Audacy Hot AC “Mix 96.5” rebounds 4.0 – 3.3 – 3.8. Cumulus CHR 104.1 KRBE trends down 4.0 – 3.5. – 3.1. iHeartMedia Hip Hop “93.7 The Beat” KQBT is down 3.8 to 3.2.

MediaCo Regional Mexican “La Raza 98.5/101.7” KTJM/KNTE stops its slide as its rises back up 2.6 to 3.5.

Majic 107.5 WAMJ 97.5 WUMJ Atlanta Urban One Ryan CameronCox Classic Rock “97.1 The River” WSRV maintains its lead 7.9 to 8.2. Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 107.5/97.5” WAMJ/WUMJ rises from fifth to second 6.6 to 7.5. Cox’s trio of News/Talk 750 WSB/95.5 WSBB (7.1 to 7.2), AC “B98.5” WSB-FM (down 7.0 to 6.7), and Adult R&B “Kiss 104.1” WALR (down 6.9 to 5.7) follow.

Salem Christian AC “104.7 The Fish” WFSH is up 4.7 to 5.2. Radio One Gospel “Praise 102.5” WPZE ends its slide up 3.6 to 4.0. Audacy Sports “92.9 The Game” WZGC drops 3.7 to 2.8.

After jumping 1.2 to 2.3 following its move from the rimshot 105.3 signal to the full-market 96.1 in mid-April, iHeartMedia Hip Hop “96.1 The Beat” WRDG dips 2.3 to 2.1. Radio One Hip Hop “Hot 107.9” WHTA is down 3.9 to 3.2.

The reverse move of CHR “Power” WWPW from 96.1 to 105.3 has been catastrophic as it slides 1.5 – 0.7 – 0.5. Cumulus CHR “Q99.7” WWWQ rises 2.6 – 2.9 – 3.1. Audacy Rhythmic AC “Star 94” WSTR is up 2.4 to 2.9.

Philadelphia

105.3 WDAS PhiladelphiaiHeartMedia Adult R&B 105.3 WDAS-FM takes the Philadelphia lead up 8.1 to 9.0. Beasley Rock 93.3 WMMR dips 7.9 to 7.6. Audacy Sports 94.1 WIP is up 7.4 to 7.5, while its stream drops 3.0 to 1.7. Beasley Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK drops 8.5 to 7.2. Audacy AC “B101” WBEB is down 5.7 to 5.5.

Beasley Country 92.5 WXTU rebounds 4.4 to 4.8.

Radio One R&B Oldies “Classix 107.9” WPPZ climbs 2.9 to 3.8. AAA 88.5 WXPN trends up 2.0 – 2.3 – 3.1 for what Huff notes is its largest share since June 2021.

Audacy News 1010 WINS/92.3 WINS-FM holds in second at a 5.2 share. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Q104.3” WAXQ jumps up 3.8 to 4.9 to enter three-way tie for third with co-owned CHR “Z100” WHTZ (up 4.7 to 4.9) and Connoisseur Media Soft AC “98.3 K-Joy” WKJY as its gains 4.2 to 4.9.

Connoisseur Media Hot AC 97.5 WALK swings back down 4.5 – 5.6 – 4.5. iHeartMedia’s 103.5 WKTU drops 3.9 – 2.9 – 2.5.

After rising 2.3 – 2.9 – 3.1 following its flip to Country, Connoisseur’s “103.1 The Wolf” WWWF dips 3.1 to 3.0.

Riverside/San Bernardino

95.5 KLOS Los AngelesAnaheim Broadcasting Classic Hits 99.9 KOLA-FM retains its lead up 8.3 to 8.6. Entravision Spanish Adult Hits “Jose 97.5” KLYY rises 7.2 to 8.3. Well behind in third place, Audacy Country “95.1 K-Frog” KFRG (3.8 to 4.4) and Univision Spanish AC “107.5 K-Love” KLVE (4.2 to 4.4) place in a tie. iHeartMedia Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG continues its slide 5.8 – 4.2 – 3.8.

Meruelo Media Classic Rock 95.5 KLOS continues its surge up 1.8 – 2.5 – 3.4. Good News Radio Christian AC 89.7 KSGN drops 3.7 to 3.2. iHeartMedia Rhythmic CHR 99.1 KGGI climbs 1.6 – 2.0 – 3.2.

Cumulus Media Sports 680 KNBR/104.5 KNBR-FM continues its rise 3.0 – 3.9 – 4.2 – 4.5.

Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 102.1” KMJQ see-saws 5.3 – 6.1 – 5.4. iHeartMedia Rock/Alternative “94.5 The Buzz” KTBZ-FM slides 6.3 – 6.0 – 5.2. Audacy Variety Hits “95.7 The Spot” KKHH (4.9 to 5.0) and Radio One Classic Rock “107.5/106.9 The Eagle” KGLK/KHPT (5.2 to 5.0) tie for fifth.

Public News/Talk “News 88.7” KUHF-FM surges up 2.5 – 3.4 – 4.1 for what Huff notes is a station record high. Houston Christian Broadcasters Christian Preaching 105.7 KHCB-FM jumps up 1.7 to 3.1 for a record high of its own.

Radio One Country “93Q” KKBQ slides 5.2 – 4.3 – 3.9. Audacy Country “100.3 The Bull” KILT-FM drops 4.3 – 3.6 – 3.2.

Audacy Hot AC “Mix 96.5” rebounds 4.0 – 3.3 – 3.8. Cumulus CHR 104.1 KRBE trends down 4.0 – 3.5. – 3.1. iHeartMedia Hip Hop “93.7 The Beat” KQBT is down 3.8 to 3.2.

Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 107.5/97.5” WAMJ/WUMJ rises from fifth to second 6.6 to 7.5. Cox’s trio of News/Talk 750 WSB/95.5 WSBB (7.1 to 7.2), AC “B98.5” WSB-FM (down 7.0 to 6.7), and Adult R&B “Kiss 104.1” WALR (down 6.9 to 5.7) follow.

Salem Christian AC “104.7 The Fish” WFSH is up 4.7 to 5.2. Radio One Gospel “Praise 102.5” WPZE ends its slide up 3.6 to 4.0. Audacy Sports “92.9 The Game” WZGC drops 3.7 to 2.8.

After jumping 1.2 to 2.3 following its move from the rimshot 105.3 signal to the full-market 96.1 in mid-April, iHeartMedia Hip Hop “96.1 The Beat” WRDG dips 2.3 to 2.1. Radio One Hip Hop “Hot 107.9” WHTA is down 3.9 to 3.2.

The reverse move of CHR “Power” WWPW from 96.1 to 105.3 has been catastrophic as it slides 1.5 – 0.7 – 0.5. Cumulus CHR “Q99.7” WWWQ rises 2.6 – 2.9 – 3.1. Audacy Rhythmic AC “Star 94” WSTR is up 2.4 to 2.9.

Philadelphia

105.3 WDAS PhiladelphiaiHeartMedia Adult R&B 105.3 WDAS-FM takes the Philadelphia lead up 8.1 to 9.0. Beasley Rock 93.3 WMMR dips 7.9 to 7.6. Audacy Sports 94.1 WIP is up 7.4 to 7.5, while its stream drops 3.0 to 1.7. Beasley Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK drops 8.5 to 7.2. Audacy AC “B101” WBEB is down 5.7 to 5.5.

Beasley Country 92.5 WXTU rebounds 4.4 to 4.8.

Radio One R&B Oldies “Classix 107.9” WPPZ climbs 2.9 to 3.8. AAA 88.5 WXPN trends up 2.0 – 2.3 – 3.1 for what Huff notes is its largest share since June 2021.

Connoisseur Media Hot AC 97.5 WALK swings back down 4.5 – 5.6 – 4.5. iHeartMedia’s 103.5 WKTU drops 3.9 – 2.9 – 2.5.

After rising 2.3 – 2.9 – 3.1 following its flip to Country, Connoisseur’s “103.1 The Wolf” WWWF dips 3.1 to 3.0.

95.5 KLOS Los AngelesAnaheim Broadcasting Classic Hits 99.9 KOLA-FM retains its lead up 8.3 to 8.6. Entravision Spanish Adult Hits “Jose 97.5” KLYY rises 7.2 to 8.3. Well behind in third place, Audacy Country “95.1 K-Frog” KFRG (3.8 to 4.4) and Univision Spanish AC “107.5 K-Love” KLVE (4.2 to 4.4) place in a tie. iHeartMedia Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG continues its slide 5.8 – 4.2 – 3.8.

Meruelo Media Classic Rock 95.5 KLOS continues its surge up 1.8 – 2.5 – 3.4. Good News Radio Christian AC 89.7 KSGN drops 3.7 to 3.2. iHeartMedia Rhythmic CHR 99.1 KGGI climbs 1.6 – 2.0 – 3.2.
