iHeartMedia CHR “Z104.3” WZFT Baltimore has announced the addition of Mike ‘McCabe’ Kerr as Program Director starting Monday, January 20.
Kerr joins WZFT from sister “Z107” WERZ Portsmouth NH, where he has served as PD/afternoon host since August 2018. Kerr previous served as Program Director and Morning Host at Saga Communications CHR “Z95.5” WFIZ Ithaca NY and also worked at Entercom CHR’s WPXY Rochester and WKSE Buffalo and multiple stations in the Elmira market both on-air and in engineering.
He fills the position previously held by Mike Miller until his move into a sales position at iHeartMedia Harrisburg PA late last year.
iHeartMedia announced today that Mike McCabe has been named Program Director for Z104.3, Baltimore’s #1 Hit Music Station and Home of The Kane Show, effective January 20. iHeartMedia Baltimore has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than four stations comprised of music formats.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Program Director, McCabe will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day programing operations for the station’s music, on-air personalities, programming, promotions and digital operations. He will report to Mike Preston, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Baltimore.

McCabe joins the Baltimore market from iHeartMedia New Hampshire where he most recently served as the program director and afternoon host for Z107. Throughout his career, he has held several programming roles for various stations including program director for WFIZ-FM in Ithaca, New York, an on air personality for WPXY-FM and WKSE-FM in Rochester and Buffalo, New York as well as an on-air personality for iHeartMedia’s Kiss 108 in Boston, 101.3 KDWB in Minneapolis and HITS 96.1 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He began his career in programming at WNKI-FM, WNGZ-FM and WPGI-FM and is a graduate of Elmira College.
