Nielsen begins its monthly release of PPM ratings with today’s Day 1 update including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston/Galveston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Long Island, Riverside/San Bernardino, San Jose, and Middlesex/Somerset/Union.

106.7 Lite-FM WLTW New York Bob Bronson Christine NagyiHeartMedia takes the top three spots in the Big Apple. AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW expands its lead to two share points as it rises 7.6 to 8.4. Classic Rock “Q104.3” WAXQ rises 6.0 to 6.4, while CHR “Z100” WHTZ is up 5.0 to 5.6. Audacy Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM (5.6 to 5.5) and MediaCo Adult R&B 107.5 WBLS (5.8 to 5.5) tie for fourth.

iHeartMedia Hot AC 103.5 WKTU trends up 3.3 – 3.5 – 3.8. SBS Spanish Tropical “Mega 97.9” WSKQ slides 5.3 – 4.3 – 3.8.

Educational Media Foundation’s “K-Love” 95.5 WPLJ shows up in the publicly released numbers holding steady at a 1.2 share.

Los Angeles

104.3 My-FM KBIG Los AngelesAudacy Classic Hits “K-Earth 101” KRTH rises 5.7 to 5.9 to hold onto the Los Angeles lead. iHeartMedia Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG jumps up 4.6 to 5.4. Audacy Rhythmic AC “94.7 The Wave” KTWV and iHeart AC 103.5 KOST are both up 4.0 to 4.5. iHeartMedia News/Talk 640 KFI holds at a 4.3 share.

iHeart CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM trends down 5.0 – 4.4 – 4.0. SBS Regional Mexican “La Raza 97.9” KLAX rises 2.4 to 3.1.

EMF’s “K-Love” 100.3 KKLQ also returns to the public numbers down 1.8 to 1.5.

Chicago

93.9 Lite-FM WLIT ChicagoiHeartMedia Soft AC “93.9 Lite-FM” WLIT grows its lead up 6.8 to 7.3. Hubbard Classic Rock “97.1 The Drive” WDRV dips 6.5 to 6.2. Audacy News 780 WBBM/105.9 WCFS is in a distant third down 4.4 to 4.2. Audacy AAA 93.1 WXRT (4.6 to 4.1) and iHeartMedia Adult R&B “V103” WVAZ (4.1 to 4.1) tie for fourth.

Following its shift to a gold based presentation, Audacy’s “B96” WBBM-FM holds steady at a 2.1 share. iHeartMedia CHR “103.5 Kiss-FM” WKSC dips 3.2 to 3.1, while Hubbard’s 90s/2000s Hits “The New 100.3” WSHE rises 2.1 to 2.2.

SBS Regional Mexican “La Ley 107.9” WLEY trends down 2.3 – 1.9 – 1.6.

Audacy Sports “95.7 The Game” KGMZ rises 3.6 – 4.1 – 4.3, while Cumulus’ 680 KNBR/104.5 KNBR-FM is down 3.3 to 2.6.

In what will be its final full monthlies before its return to Alternative “Live 105“, Audacy Variety Hits “105.3 Dave-FM” KITS trends up 1.7 – 2.0 – 2.2. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “103.7 80s Plus” KOSF trends down 3.4 – 3.0 – 2.4.

Dallas/Fort Worth

Audacy Classic Hits 98.7 KLUV rises 4.9 to 5.1. Cumulus Classic Country “99.5 The Wolf” KPLX (4.4 to 4.7) and iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Lonestar 92.5” KZPS (4.6 to 4.7) tie for third. iHeartMedia CHR “106.1 Kiss-FM” KHKS-FM inches up 4.5 to 4.6.

Radio One Hip Hop “97.9 The Beat” KBFB jumps 2.3 – 2.8 – 3.1.

Hot 95.7 The Spot KKHH Houston CBSiHeartMedia AC “Sunny 99.1” KODA rises 8.9 to 9.2. Cox Classic Rock “107.5/106.9 The Eagle” KGLK/KHPT is up 6.5 to 6.7. Audacy Variety Hits “95.7 The Spot” KKHH jumps 5.6 to 6.5, which Huff notes is the largest share on the frequency since it was Country KIKK-FM in 1992. Hope Media Group Christian AC 89.3 KSBJ dips 5.9 to 5.6. Univision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 102.9” KLTN jumps 4.9 to 5.5.

Majic 107.5 WAMJ 97.5 WUMJ Atlanta Urban One Ryan CameronCox Media Group continues to hold four of the top five spots in Atlanta. Classic Rock “97.1 The River” WSRV is down 8.9 to 8.7. Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 107.5/97.5” WAMJ/WUMJ jumps 7.3 to 8.0. Cox News/Talk 750 WSB/95.5 WSBB dips 7.0 to 6.7 followed by co-owned Adult R&B “Kiss 104.1” WALR (6.0 to 6.1) and AC “B98.5” WSB-FM (5.4 to 5.2).

The Country battle narrows as Cumulus’ “New Country 101.5” WKHX dips 3.8 to 3.6, while iHeartMedia’s “94.9 The Bull” WUBL is up 2.9 to 3.5.

Philadelphia

92.5 XTU WXTU PhiladelphiaBeasley Media Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK surges up 6.9 – 7.5 – 8.5 for what Huff notes is its highest share since it was AC “Magic 103” in Summer 1981. iHeartMedia Adult R&B 105.3 WDAS-FM dips 7.7 to 7.3. Beasley Country 92.5 WXTU shoots up 4.3 – 5.2 – 6.9 to place third and its highest share since 2007. Beasley Rock 93.3 WMMR is up 6.4 to 6.6. Audacy AC “B101.1” WBEB dips 6.1 to 5.5.

Audacy Classic Hits “Big 98.1” WOGL drops 6.3 to 5.2, News 1060 KYW/103.9 WPHI is off 6.2 – 5.5 – 5.1, while sister Sports 94.1 WIP is down 5.9 to 4.9 (although its stream rises 1.3 to 2.0). Public News/Talk 90.9 WHYY-FM slips 5.4 – 4.9 – 4.4.

With its all-Taylor Swift stunt and relaunch as Hot AC “The New 96.5” taking place in the third week of the monthly, WTDY-FM rises 2.5 to 3.2 continuing a six month up-trend for the station since it hit a low of 1.2 in Holiday 2022.

Long Island

77 770 WABC New York Red Apple MediaCox Classic Rock 102.3 WBAB/95.3 WHFM holds its Long Island lead down 7.0 to 6.4. iHeartMedia CHR “Z100” WHTZ is steady at a 5.1 share, while co-owned AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW rises 3.1 to 4.7 and Classic Rock “Q104.3” WAXQ is off 5.2 – 4.9 – 4.6. Connoisseur Media Hot AC 97.5 WALK-FM is down 4.9 to 4.3.

Cox CHR 106.1 WBLI slides 4.8 – 4.5 – 4.1. Red Apple Media Conservative Talk 770 WABC surges up 1.3 – 1.8 – 3.2. Connoisseur Media Oldies 1100/104.7 WHLI jumps up 0.9 to 2.8.

Riverside/San Bernardino

99.9 KOLA-FM Riverside San BernardinoAnaheim Broadcasting Classic Hits 99.9 KOLA-FM reclaims sole possession of the Inland Empire lead up 5.7 to 7.2. Audacy Country “95.1 K-Frog” KFRG is up 5.4 to 5.7. Entravision Spanish Adult Hits “Jose 97.5” KLYY rises 4.8 to 5.0.
