Nielsen begins its monthly release of PPM ratings with today’s Day 1 update including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston/Galveston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Long Island, Riverside/San Bernardino, San Jose, and Middlesex/Somerset/Union.

New York

106.7 Lite-FM WLTW New York Bob Bronson Christine NagyiHeartMedia has the top three stations in New York. AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW rises 7.8 to 8.5 to expand its overall lead. Classic Rock “Q104.3” WAXQ is up 5.9 to 6.4. CHR “Z100” WHTZ moves up to third place 5.2 to 5.4. Audacy Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM holds at a 5.2 share. MediaCo Adult R&B 107.5 WBLS dips to fifth 5.4 to 5.0.

Audacy News 1010 WINS/92.3 WINS-FM rises 4.3 to 4.8, while sister 880 WCBS is down 2.5 – 2.3 – 1.9.

iHeartMedia Hot AC 103.5 WKTU trends down 5.0 – 4.1 – 3.7. EMF Christian AC “K-Love” 95.5 WPLJ is down 2.5 to 1.7.

The Hip Hop battle is very tight as Mediaco’s “Hot 97” WQHT holds at a 2.2 share, iHeart’s “Power 105.1” WWPR-FM inches up 2.0 to 2.1, and Audacy Classic Hip Hop “94.7 The Block” WXBK rises 1.7 to 2.1, which Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes is its highest share since July 2021.

Los Angeles

102.7 KIIS-FM Kiss FM Los AngelesAudacy Classic Hits “K-Earth 101” KRTH maintains its lead down 6.2 to 5.8. iHeartMedia holds the next four spots. Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG holds in second up 5.2 to 5.5. AC 103.5 KOST is up 4.9 to 5.3. Talk 640 KFI gains 4.5 to 5.1. CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM trends up 3.7 – 4.0 – 4.9.

SBS Regional Mexican “La Raza 97.9” KLAX jumps up 2.4 to 3.3, while Univision’s direct format competitor “La 101.9” KSCA is down 3.0 to 2.2. Univision Spanish Adult Hits “Recuerdo 103.9/98.3” KRCD/KRCV slides 4.0 – 3.5 – 3.1.

Meruelo Media Spanish Hot AC “Cali 93.9” KLLI trends up 1.8 – 2.5 – 2.9. Co-owned Classic Rock 95.5 KLOS falls 3.3 to 2.6.

iHeartMedia Alternative “Alt 98.7” KYSR rises 2.4 to 3.0. Audacy’s 106.7 KROQ is up 1.9 to 2.2.

Public News/Talk/AAA 89.9 KCRW rises 1.3 to 2.0.

Hubbard Hot AC “101.9 The Mix” WTMX trends up 4.1 – 4.4 – 4.7.

Audacy Country “US 99” WUSN surges up 3.2 – 3.4 – 4.3. iHeartMedia Rock “Rock 95.5” WCHI-FM is up 1.8 to 2.3.

Audacy AAA 93.1 WXRT continues to trend down 5.7 – 5.0 – 4.7 – 4.3 – 4.0. Univision Spanish AC “Amor 106.7” WPPN trends down 2.0 – 1.7 – 1.4.

San Francisco

Bonneville CHR “99.7 Now” KMVQ continues its five month surge up 3.2 – 3.9 – 4.6 – 5.2 – 6.2, which Huff notes is a new all-time record high for the facility. For the second month in a row, Audacy’s relaunched “Live 105” KITS sets a frequency record high up 4.0 to 4.5.

iHeartMedia Soft AC “98.1 The Breeze” KISQ continues its slide 5.9 – 5.0 – 4.6 – 4.3 – 4.0. Cumulus Classic Rock “107.7 The Bone” KSAN falls 3.3 to 2.6.

Audacy Sports “95.7 The Game” KGMZ trends up 1.5 – 1.8 – 2.1.

Dallas/Fort Worth

105.3 The Fan KRLD-FM DallasThe Rangers World Series win and Cowboys hot start brings two Sports stations into the top five. Cumulus’ “The Ticket” 1310 KTCK/96.7 KTCK-FM moves back to the top spot 4.7 to 5.6. Audacy Classic Hits “98.7 The Spot” KSPF is up 5.1 to 5.3. Univision Regional Mexican “La Nueva 94.1” KLNO falls from first 5.2 to 4.7. Cumulus’ “New Country 96.3” KSCS places fourth 4.4 to 4.3. Audacy’s “105.3 The Fan” KRLD-FM is up for the sixth straight month rising 3.6 to 4.1 as Huff notes is the highest share for the station since it was “Young Country” KYNG in Summer 1996.
