Original Report 11:45am: Clear Channel Urban “100.1 The Beat” WXBT will begin simulcasting sistern News/Talk 560 WVOC, bringing the AM’s News/Talk lineup to the FM band.
The station’s website has begun to make the necessary modifications, showing off the new 100.1 WVOC logo shown above.
In the recently released Summer book, WXBT ranked 6th in the market overall with a 5.0 share putting it well ahead of Inner City Broadcasting “Hot 103.9” WHXT’s 3.9. However, this move will help the more profitable WVOC with its demographics in the long run and potentially shift a few listeners towards Clear Channel’s CHR 104.7 WNOK.
