Nielsen Audio has released Day 2 of its monthly four day sweep of ratings in PPM markets.

Today’s releases include Washington DC, Boston, Seattle, Miami, Detroit, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Diego, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Denver, Baltimore, and St. Louis.

91.9 WGTS Takoma Park Washington DC 88.3 WRAU Ocean CityPublic News/Talk 88.5 WAMU continues to dominate Washington at it inches up 10.1 to 10.2. Howard University Adult R&B 96.3 WHUR holds in second down 8.5 to 7.9. Atlantic Gateway Communications Christian AC 91.9 WGTS surges up 4.2 – 5.8 – 6.9 into a tie for third with Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP (8.1 – 7.8 – 6.9). iHeartMedia AC 97.1 WASH rises 5.8 to 6.7.

Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 102.3/92.7” WMMJ/WDCJ trends up 4.0 – 4.1 – 5.0. Audacy Sports “106.7 The Fan” WJFK-FM rises 2.8 – 3.4 – 3.7. Audacy Hip Hop 95.5 WPGC falls 4.3 to 3.4, iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Big 100” WBIG-FM trends down 4.3 – 4.0 – 3.3.

Boston

Beasley Media Classic Hits 105.7 WROR retakes the Boston lead with a 7.8 to 8.3 rise, while co-owned “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM falls 9.8 to 7.3. Audacy AC “Magic 106.7” WMJX holds at a 6.7 share. iHeartMedia CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM trends down 5.8 – 5.6 – 5.2 since the retirement of morning host Matty Siegel, which ties co-owned Classic Rock 100.7 WZLX (5.1 to 5.2).

Audacy Hot AC “Mix 104.1” WWBX trends up 3.7 – 4.1 – 4.7. Beasley Rhythmic Hot AC “Hot 96.9” WBQT rises 3.1 – 3.4 – 3.8, while iHeartMedia Hip Hop “Jam’n 94.5” WJMN rises 2.2 to 3.0. Cumulus Media Hot AC 104.5 WXLO jumps up 1.4 to 2.7 and Hall’s Providence market “Cat Country 98.1” WCTK is up 0.4 – 0.7 – 1.3.

Public News/Talk 89.7 WGBH-FM falls 3.5 – 2.7 – 2.2.

90.3 KEXP SeattleBonneville News/Talk 97.3 KIRO-FM trends up 6.3 – 6.9 – 7.3 to retain its lead. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “95.7 The Jet” KJEB holds at a 6.3 share. iHeart Classic Rock 102.5 KZOK moves up to third 5.4 to 5.5. Public News/Talk 94.9 KUOW dips 5.8 to 5.1. Hubbard AC “Warm 106.9” KRWM falls down 7.8 – 6.3 – 5.0.

El Nuevo Zol 106.7 WXDJ Fort Lauderdale MiamiCox Soft AC “Easy 93.1” WFEZ surges up 8.3 to 9.7 to reclaim the top spot in South Florida from sister Adult R&B “Hot 105” WHQT which rises 8.6 to 8.7. SBS Spanish Tropical “El Zol 106.7” WXDJ trends up to third 3.6 – 4.6 – 6.2 which Huff notes is the largest on the frequency since Fall 1995. Audacy AC “101.5 Lite-FM” WLYF slips 6.3 to 5.5. Univision Spanish AC “Amor 107.5” WAMR rises 4.8 to 5.3.

Univision Spanish Conservative Talk “Radio Mambi” 710 WAQI trends up 2.7 – 3.0 – 3.4. Trending down are Audacy Classic Hits “102.7 The Beach” WMXJ (4.7 – 4.0 – 3.50 and Cox Rhythmic AC “Hits 97.3” WFLC (3.5 – 3.4 – 2.8).

Detroit

Audacy Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC retains its lead moving 7.4 to 7.3. Beasley Media Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX dips 6.6 to 6.3. iHeartMedia AC 100.3 WNIC rises 5.8 to 6.0. Audacy Sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM dips 6.2 to 5.9. iHeartMedia Adult R&B “Mix 92.3” WMXD slides down 6.9 – 6.7 – 5.4.

Trending up are Beasley Classic Hip Hop “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC (3.8 – 4.1 – 4.4), Audacy Alternative “Alt 98.7” WDZH (2.0 to 2.4), and WGPR Inc. Hip Hop “Hot 107.5” WGPR (1.8 – 2.3 – 2.4).

Phoenix

The Wow Factor 95.1 KOAI Phoenix John Sebastian OasisiHeartMedia AC “99.9 KEZ” KESZ’s lead narrows as it moves 6.7 to 6.6. Desert Valley Media Group’s “The Wow Factor” 95.1 KOAI trends up to second 5.1 – 5.3 – 6.2 to a new frequency high. Public News/Talk 91.5 KJZZ-FM rises 5.1 to 5.8. iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 550 KFYI is up 4.1 to 5.0. Hubbard Classic Rock 100.7 KSLX trends down 6.1 – 5.2 – 4.9.

With its relaunch as Rhythmic AC in the final week of the monthly, Desert Valley Media Group’s “Hot 97.5/103.9” KMVA/KZON rises 1.7 to 2.7. Also rising are iHeartMedia Hot AC “Mix 96.9” KMXP (3.6 to 4.8), Audacy Classic Hits 94.5 KOOL-FM (2.9 – 3.4 – 4.0), and Sierra H Classic Hip Hop “101.1 The Bounce” KZCE (2.6 to 3.3).

iHeartMedia CHR “104.7 Kiss-FM” KZZP dips 2.9 to 2.3 to what Huff notes is the lowest share on the frequency since it was Hot AC “Variety 104.7” KVRY in Summer 1995.

Huff notes that this is the first time 104.1 has ever had a share of the Twin Cities market lead. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “Kool 108” KQQL rises 7.1 to 7.3. Cumulus Media Rock “93X” KXXR is up 6.2 to 6.5. iHeartMedia Country “K102” KEEY trends up to fifth 5.0 – 5.4 – 6.4.

Cumulus Classic Rock 92.5 KQRS trends up 4.7 – 5.1 – 6.1. iHeartMedia Country “102.9 The Wolf” KMNB rises 1.8 – 2.3 – 2.8. Classical 99.5 KSJN is up 2.0 – 2.3 – 2.8.

Trending down in the Twin Cities are Public News/Talk 91.1 KNOW-FM (7.0 – 6.4 – 5.9), Northwestern Media Christian AC 98.5 KTIS-FM (6.0 – 5.3 – 4.2), and AAA “89.3 The Current) 4.8 – 4.0 – 2.9.

San Diego

LM San Diego Variety Hits “100.7 Big-FM” KFBG retains its San Diego market lead despite falling from its record 8.4 to 6.6. Audacy AC 96.5 KYXY rises to second 5.2 to 6.3. Public News/Talk 89.5 KPBS-FM dips 6.2 to 6.0. Audacy Classic Hits “Sunny 98.1” KXSN rebounds 5.0 to 5.8. LM San Diego Rhythmic AC “Magic 92.5” XHRM trends down 6.6 – 6.0 – 5.3.

LMSD CHR “Z90.3” XHTZ rises 2.4 to 3.2.

Tampa/St. Petersburg

107.3 The Eagle WXGL TampaCox Media Group Soft AC 105.5 WDUV remains in the lead down 7.8 to 7.6 (adding 1.2 additional share points from its stream), while sister Classic Rock “107.3 The Eagle” WXGL surges up 5.6 – 6.1 – 7.3 for what Huff notes is its largest share since March 2019. Radio Training Network Christian AC “The Joy-FM” 91.5 WCIE dips 6.7 to 6.6. Beasley Media Classic Hits “Q105” WRBQ rebounds 4.8 to 5.6. Cox AC “Magic 94.9” WWRM is off 5.5 to 5.4.

Cox Hot Talk “102.5 The Bone” WHPT trends up 3.7 – 4.5 – 4.7. iHeartMedia AC “Mix 100.7” WMTX jumps up 4.2 to 5.2.

A pair of Beasley Media stations match or exceed recent lows. Country 99.5 WQYK trends down 3.7 – 3.2 – 2.8 for its lowest share registered in August 2021 and 1977. Rhythmic CHR “Wild 94.1” WLLD slides 3.8 – 3.4 – 2.5 for the lowest share marked since the frequency moved into the Tampa market in 1995.

In its first full monthly as Spanish Tropical “El Zol 97.1“, SBS’ WSUN-FM rises 0.4 to 0.6.

Denver

Kool 105 KXKL DenverKSE Media Classic Hits “Kool 105” KXKL rises 5.1 to 5.7 to tie Bonneville Country 98.5 KYGO (6.1 to 5.7) atop Denver. This is only the second time KXKL has had a share of the Denver lead. Audacy Classic Rock “99.5 The Mountain” KQMT dips 6.6 – 5.8 – 5.5 to place third, while sister Hot AC “Alice 105.9” KALC slides from its station record last month 6.4 to 5.4. Bonneville AC 101.1 KOSI dips 5.9 to 5.2.

The Colorado Avalanche’s run to the Stanley Cup helps Bonneville Sports “104.3 The Fan” KKFN-FM rise 1.9 – 2.1 – 2.5 and franchise flagship “Altitude Sports 92.5” KKSE-FM gain 0.9 – 1.1 – 1.5.

Trending up are iHeartMedia’s trip of Classic Rock “103.5 The Fox” KRFX (3.8 – 4.1 – 4.8), Alternative “Channel 93.3” KTCL (3.9 – 4.3 – 4.7) and AAA 97.3 KBCO (3.5 – 4.3 – 4.6). Audacy Hip Hop “KS 107.5” KQKS rises 1.6 to 2.7.

Public News/Talk 90.1 KCFR trends down 4.5 – 4.1 – 3.8.

Baltimore

Radio One Adult R&B “Magic 95.9” WWIN-FM rises 9.3 to 9.4. Audacy AC “Today’s 101.9” WLIF surges up 6.9 – 7.3 – 8.6. iHeartMedia Variety Hits “102.7 Jack-FM” WQSR slips 8.1 to 7.7, while co-owned Country 93.1 WPOC is up 7.1 to 7.2. Radio One Hip Hop “92Q” WERQ trends up to fifth 4.3 – 4.9 – 5.3.

Audacy Hot AC “Mix 106.5” WWMX trends down 5.4 – 5.2 – 4.4, while iHeartMedia CHR “Z104.3” WZFT dips 2.6 to 2.2. AAA 89.7 WTMD falls 2.8 – 1.8 – 1.1.

St. Louis

Hubbard Classic Rock 94.7 KSHE returns to double digits with an 8.9 to 10.0 gain. Hubbard Variety Hits “106.5 The Arch” WARH jumps up to second 7.0 to 8.0. Audacy AC 102.5 KEZK rises 6.8 to 7.6 to tie for third with iHeartMedia’s surging Country “93.7 The Bull” KSD (5.6 – 6.5 – 7.6). Hubbard Alternative “105.7 The Point” KPNT (steady at 7.4) and iHeartMedia Classic Hits 103.3 KLOU (7.2 to 7.4) tie for fifth.

Gateway Creative Broadcasting Christian AC “99.1 Joy-FM” KLJY trends down 6.0 – 5.7 – 5.0. Hubbard Country 92.3 WIL is down 6.4 to 4.9. AAA 88.1 KDHX falls 2.6 – 1.3 – 1.1.

Trending down in the Twin Cities are Public News/Talk 91.1 KNOW-FM (7.0 – 6.4 – 5.9), Northwestern Media Christian AC 98.5 KTIS-FM (6.0 – 5.3 – 4.2), and AAA “89.3 The Current) 4.8 – 4.0 – 2.9.

LM San Diego Variety Hits “100.7 Big-FM” KFBG retains its San Diego market lead despite falling from its record 8.4 to 6.6. Audacy AC 96.5 KYXY rises to second 5.2 to 6.3. Public News/Talk 89.5 KPBS-FM dips 6.2 to 6.0. Audacy Classic Hits “Sunny 98.1” KXSN rebounds 5.0 to 5.8. LM San Diego Rhythmic AC “Magic 92.5” XHRM trends down 6.6 – 6.0 – 5.3.

LMSD CHR “Z90.3” XHTZ rises 2.4 to 3.2.

Tampa/St. Petersburg

107.3 The Eagle WXGL TampaCox Media Group Soft AC 105.5 WDUV remains in the lead down 7.8 to 7.6 (adding 1.2 additional share points from its stream), while sister Classic Rock “107.3 The Eagle” WXGL surges up 5.6 – 6.1 – 7.3 for what Huff notes is its largest share since March 2019. Radio Training Network Christian AC “The Joy-FM” 91.5 WCIE dips 6.7 to 6.6. Beasley Media Classic Hits “Q105” WRBQ rebounds 4.8 to 5.6. Cox AC “Magic 94.9” WWRM is off 5.5 to 5.4.

Cox Hot Talk “102.5 The Bone” WHPT trends up 3.7 – 4.5 – 4.7. iHeartMedia AC “Mix 100.7” WMTX jumps up 4.2 to 5.2.

A pair of Beasley Media stations match or exceed recent lows. Country 99.5 WQYK trends down 3.7 – 3.2 – 2.8 for its lowest share registered in August 2021 and 1977. Rhythmic CHR “Wild 94.1” WLLD slides 3.8 – 3.4 – 2.5 for the lowest share marked since the frequency moved into the Tampa market in 1995.

In its first full monthly as Spanish Tropical “El Zol 97.1“, SBS’ WSUN-FM rises 0.4 to 0.6.

Kool 105 KXKL DenverKSE Media Classic Hits “Kool 105” KXKL rises 5.1 to 5.7 to tie Bonneville Country 98.5 KYGO (6.1 to 5.7) atop Denver. This is only the second time KXKL has had a share of the Denver lead. Audacy Classic Rock “99.5 The Mountain” KQMT dips 6.6 – 5.8 – 5.5 to place third, while sister Hot AC “Alice 105.9” KALC slides from its station record last month 6.4 to 5.4. Bonneville AC 101.1 KOSI dips 5.9 to 5.2.

The Colorado Avalanche’s run to the Stanley Cup helps Bonneville Sports “104.3 The Fan” KKFN-FM rise 1.9 – 2.1 – 2.5 and franchise flagship “Altitude Sports 92.5” KKSE-FM gain 0.9 – 1.1 – 1.5.

Trending up are iHeartMedia’s trip of Classic Rock “103.5 The Fox” KRFX (3.8 – 4.1 – 4.8), Alternative “Channel 93.3” KTCL (3.9 – 4.3 – 4.7) and AAA 97.3 KBCO (3.5 – 4.3 – 4.6). Audacy Hip Hop “KS 107.5” KQKS rises 1.6 to 2.7.

Public News/Talk 90.1 KCFR trends down 4.5 – 4.1 – 3.8.

Radio One Adult R&B “Magic 95.9” WWIN-FM rises 9.3 to 9.4. Audacy AC “Today’s 101.9” WLIF surges up 6.9 – 7.3 – 8.6. iHeartMedia Variety Hits “102.7 Jack-FM” WQSR slips 8.1 to 7.7, while co-owned Country 93.1 WPOC is up 7.1 to 7.2. Radio One Hip Hop “92Q” WERQ trends up to fifth 4.3 – 4.9 – 5.3.

Audacy Hot AC “Mix 106.5” WWMX trends down 5.4 – 5.2 – 4.4, while iHeartMedia CHR “Z104.3” WZFT dips 2.6 to 2.2. AAA 89.7 WTMD falls 2.8 – 1.8 – 1.1.

Hubbard Classic Rock 94.7 KSHE returns to double digits with an 8.9 to 10.0 gain. Hubbard Variety Hits “106.5 The Arch” WARH jumps up to second 7.0 to 8.0. Audacy AC 102.5 KEZK rises 6.8 to 7.6 to tie for third with iHeartMedia’s surging Country “93.7 The Bull” KSD (5.6 – 6.5 – 7.6). Hubbard Alternative “105.7 The Point” KPNT (steady at 7.4) and iHeartMedia Classic Hits 103.3 KLOU (7.2 to 7.4) tie for fifth.

Gateway Creative Broadcasting Christian AC “99.1 Joy-FM” KLJY trends down 6.0 – 5.7 – 5.0. Hubbard Country 92.3 WIL is down 6.4 to 4.9. AAA 88.1 KDHX falls 2.6 – 1.3 – 1.1.
