If I had the pen, I’m flipping 100.7 to hot AC gold or rhythmic throwbacks. It’s the obvious choice, Pittsburgh Skews older, and there really isn’t a station for my generation of listener in that area. Rhythmic seems the obvious choice, as a combo with Wamo, or to take the whammo calls. Mark Anderson obviously has experience with KISSFM and it’s hay day of rhythmic CHR. if you ask me though, it’s B 94, yes at 100.7, if 99X can do it, so can b, and people still talk about that station all the time and it still has equity despite being flipped over and over again. I’d run a playlist very similar to what they are doing in Seattle. this of course won’t happen, because why do something unique when you could try to compete to be the third best hot ac or second best CHR in the market. What do I know, other than the 6+ ratings of 100.5 in nearby wheeling prior to not subscribing to Nielsen.
