Chris Booker is returning to Entercom and afternoons at 92.3 New York.
Booker, who most recently hosted mornings at “97.1 Amp” KAMP Los Angeles until exiting in April, debuted this afternoon as afternoon host at “Alt 92.3” WNYL New York.
The move marks a return to the frequency for Booker as he previously hosted afternoons at the station when it was “92.3 K-Rock” in the mid 2000s and nights in the late 90s. He has also co-hosted mornings at “Blink 102.7” WNEW, nights at “92.3 Free-FM” WFNY-FM and weekends/fill-ins at CHR “Z100” WHTZ in New York and hosted mornings at “Q102” WIOQ Philadelphia before joining KAMP as afternoon host following their 2009 flip to CHR and moved to mornings in October 2019.
Booker’s return to New York comes as former afternoon host Corey B moved to mornings alongside Cane. “Cane & Corey” will also now air on Entercom Alternative stations in Baltimore, Buffalo, Miami and Orlando.
Starting today at 2p, I rejoin the only radio station that I ever dreamed of being on @alt923radio NewYork.. My emotions are all over the road as the date on the calendar will never be lost on me.. I celebrate the city and couldn’t be more proud to be coming home! pic.twitter.com/vWi8WVx7of
