Cumulus Media has promoted Don Boyd to VP/Market Manager of its five stations in Mobile AL.

Boyd has spent the past three years as General Sales Manager for the company’s Atlanta GA properties and also worked for the company from 2001-2008 as GSM of its Nashville properties. He has also served as Regional Manager for Bott Radio Network, Vice President of Advertising for Dickey Publishing, Regional Generl Manager of Root Communications during his career.

Boyd replaces Angel Brown, who exited Cumulus to join iHeartMedia Norfolk as Market President in June.

Cumulus Media announces that it has promoted radio executive Don Boyd to Vice President/Market Manager of Cumulus Media-Mobile, AL, which operates five radio stations including: 104.1 WDLT-FM; WXQW 660 AM, News/Information; 97.5 WABD-FM; 93 BLX FM, The Big Station!; and WGOK Gospel 900 AM.

Boyd has 28 years of experience overseeing sales and operational initiatives within the radio broadcasting industry and was promoted from his most recent position as a General Sales Manager for Cumulus’ seven-station cluster in Atlanta, GA, a position he has held since January 2015. Prior to that, Boyd was Nashville Regional Manager for Bott Radio Network, and General Sales Manager for Cumulus Media-Nashville from 2001-2008.
