Beasley AC “K104.7” WKQC rises 6.5 to 8.3 (down from 8.8 with Christmas music in December 2021). Beasley Adult R&B “V101.9” WBAV dips 7.7 to 7.3. iHeartMedia Alternative “106.5 The End” WEND surges up 4.4 to 6.3 to break the station record high set last April. Beasley Country 103.7 WSOC is down 6.7 to 6.0. iHeartMedia Variety Hits “102.9 The Lake” WLKO is off 6.1 to 5.6 (up from its Christmas music 5.5 in December 2021).

iHeartMedia AC “K103” KKCW rises 7.7 to 10.0 (down from 12.4 share in December 2021). iHeart Classic Hits “106.7 The Eagle” KLTH rises 7.4 to 8.1. Alpha Media News/Talk 101.1 KXL-FM falls 7.2 to 7.4. Public News/Talk 91.5 KOPB-FM trends down 8.8 – 8.2 – 7.2. Classical 89.9 KQAC trends up 4.0 – 5.0 – 6.5 which Huff notes is an all-time record high for the station.

Alpha Media AAA 101.9 KINK trends down 5.0 – 4.7 – 3.8, while sister CHR “Live 95.5” KBFF slips 3.4 – 2.7 – 2.5.

A poor Country monthly as Audacy’s “99.5 The Wolf” KWFF slides 3.1 – 2.7 – 1.9 and Alpha’s “98.7 The Bull” KUPL drops 2.4 – 2.3 – 2.5.

San Antonio

iHeartMedia AC “Q101.9” KQXT surges up 6.0 to 14.0. Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes it is up significantly from its 10.8 share in December 2021 and not far off from its Holiday 2021 station record high of 15.9. Cox Classic Hits 101.1 KONO-FM is off 8.0 to 7.5. iHeartMedia Country “KJ 97” KAJA holds at a 5.3. Cox Rock 99.5 KISS is down 5.9 to 5.0. Cox Country “Y100” KCYY (4.4 to 4.1), Cox Classic Rock “106.7 The Eagle” KTKX (4.4 to 4.1), and Alpha Media Variety Hits “102.7 Jack-FM” KJXK (4.7 to 4.1) tie for fifth.

Christmas takes the top two spots in Salt Lake. Bonneville AC “FM 100” KSFI rises 6.6 to 12.1 (up from 10.9 in December 2021) and iHeartMedia Hot AC “My 99.5” KJMY surges 3.5 to 7.2 (up massively from 4.1 last year), which Huff notes is a station record surpassing its 6.8 in Holiday 2021. iHeart Conservative Talk 570 KNRS/105.9 KNRS-FM is down 11.1 to 6.7, while sister Classic Hits 94.1 KODJ rises 5.8 to 6.2. KSOP Inc. Country “Z104.3” KSOP-FM rises 4.8 to 5.7.

Bonneville News/Talk 1160 KSL/102.7 KSL-FM falls 6.7 to 5.3. Broadway Media CHR “Mix 105.1” KUDD drops 4.4 to 2.6. Capitol Broadcasting 1980s Alternative “103.1 The Wave” KLO-FM trends down 2.6 – 2.3 – 1.5.

iHeartMedia News/Talk 1530 KFBK/93.1 KFBK-FM holds onto the Sacramento lead 11.3 to 10.1. Audacy Classic Rock “96.9 The Eagle” KSEG holds at a 9.2 share. Bonneville AC “Mix 96” KYMX rises 5.5 to 9.1 (down from 9.9 in December 2021). Bonneville Country 105.1 KNCI dips 6.2 to 5.3. iHeartMedia Soft AC “92.5 The Breeze” KBEB trends down 5.2 – 4.8 – 4.4 to tie for fifth with sister Classic Hip Hop “V101” KHYL (3.9 – 4.1 – 4.4).

iHeart Conservative Talk 650 KSTE trends down 4.1 – 3.9 – 3.0, while the bloom appears to be off the rose of 90s/2000s Hits “Kiss 107.9” KZIS as it trends down 4.0 – 3.1 – 2.2.

Audacy AC “Majic 95.5” KKMJ rises 6.5 to 9.0 (up from 7.2 in December 2021). Waterloo Media Variety Hits “103.5 Bob-FM” KBPA dips 9.8 to 8.8. iHeartMedia Country 98.1 KVET-FM jumps up 4.4 to 5.7 to tie for third with Public News/Talk 90.1 KUT-FM (5.0 to 5.7). Waterloo Regional Mexican “107.1 La Z” KLZT rises 4.3 to 4.9.

Waterloo News/Talk 590/99.7 KLBJ slides 5.9 to 4.7, while sister Hot AC “Lucy 93.3” KGSR is down 3.4 – 3.0 – 2.1.

With two stations splitting the Christmas music audience, iHeartMedia Classic Hits “94.5 3WS” WWSW dips 8.9 to 8.3 (down significantly from 11.1 in December 2021), while Renda AC “Wish 99.7” WSSH rises 4.1 to 7.5 (7.4 last year). Audacy Sports “93.7 The Fan” KDKA-FM rises 5.4 to 5.9.

Both Country stations slip as iHeartMedia’s “Big 104.7” WPGB trends down 6.1 – 5.6 – 5.0 and Audacy’s “Y108” WDSY slides 4.1 to 3.3.

iHeartMedia Country 92.3 WCOL 5.7 – 8.1 – 9.1 – 10.1 to reclaim the Columbus lead. TEGNA Sports “97.1 The Fan” WBNS-FM dips 9.8 to 9.2. iHeartMedia CHR 97.9 WNCI slips 7.8 to 7.3. iHeart Variety Hits “93.3 The Bus” WODC rises 4.0 to 6.8 (up from 6.5 in December 2021) to tie sister News/Talk 610 WTN (7.6 to 6.8) for fourth.

NABCO Rock “99.7 The Blitz” WRKZ rebounds 4.4 to 5.4. Saga AC “Sunny 94.7” WSNY is down 4.2 to 4.0 (with its Christmas music down from a 4.9 last year).

Raleigh/Durham

After two stations went all-Christmas and combined for a 10.4 share in December 2021, no commercial station in the market made the move this year. iHeartMedia Conservative Talk “Talk 106.1” WTKK held onto the lead 9.9 to 9.2. Public News/Talk 91.5 WUNC-FM was second 9.0 to 8.2. Radio One Adult R&B “Foxy 107.1/104.3” WFXC/WFXK rose 6.9 to 7.8. Capitol Broadcasting AC “Mix 101.5” WRAL-FM dipped 7.4 to 6.9 (with all-Christmas it had an 8.1 share in December 2021). Ahead of adding two simulcast signals this week, Curtis Media Classic Hits “Kix 102.9” WKIX-FM jumped up 5.1 to 6.5 for what Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes is a station record high.

iHeartMedia Classic Rock 100.7 WRDU rises 4.1 to 5.2. Radio One Hip Hop “K97.5” WQOK dips 4.1 to 3.2.

In December 2021, iHeartMedia’s then stunting “Christmas 95.3” WDCG-HD2 had a 2.3 share. iHeart’s “Mix 99.5” WMAG Greensboro, which is heard in much of the Raleigh/Durham market, did go all-Christmas but its numbers were not listed in the public data.

Indianapolis

Radio One AC “B105.7” WYXB rises 7.0 to 11.5 (up from 10.7 in December 2021). Cumulus Classic Hits 104.5 WJJK is down 11.8 to 9.7. Radio One News/Talk 93.1 WIBC drops 9.1 to 7.1. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Q95” WFBQ is up 5.6 to 5.7. Radio One Country “97.1 Hank-FM” WLHK jumps up 4.4 to 5.3.

Cumulus Country 95.5 WFMS trends down 6.7 – 6.1 – 5.0.

Nashville

Midwest Communications AC “Mix 92.9” WJXA jumps up 7.1 to 11.9 (up big from 8.6 in December 2021). Midwest Variety Hits “96.3 Jack-FM” WCJK is up 8.1 to 8.3. iHeartMedia CHR “107.5 The River” WRVW falls 3.6 to 2.9, which Huff notes is the lowest share on the frequency since it was AC “Y107” WYHY in Fall 1984.

Saga Classic Rock “Hometown Rock 96.5” WKLH rises 7.8 to 8.6. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “95.7 Big-FM” WRIT held at an 8.3 share as the highest of the three all-Christmas stations in the market (up from 8.0 in December 2021). iHeart Country “FM 106.1” WMIL dips 7.5 to 6.7. iHeartMedia AC “Mix 99.5” WMAG leads the Triad with a 7.0 to 12.8 gain (up from 12.0 in December 2021). Audacy’s trio of Adult R&B 97.1 WQMG (10.7 to 11.0), Variety Hits “98.7 Simon” WSMW (10.2 to 10.7), and Country “93.1 The Wolf” WPAW-FM (7.7 to 8.7) follow. Dick Broadcasting Classic Rock “Rock 92” WKRR is fifth 7.7 to 7.5.

iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 94.5 WPTI drops 6.2 to 4.7, CHR “Hits 100.3” WMKS is down 4.3 to 3.5, and Classic Rock “Real Rock 105.7” WVBZ falls 2.7 to 1.5.

West Palm Beach

Hubbard Hot AC 97.9 WRMF leads down 8.8 to 7.8. Hubbard Classic Hits “Sunny 107.9” WEAT rises 5.9 to 7.0 (down from 9.4 last December). Hubbard Adult R&B “X102.3” WMBX is up 6.5 to 6.6. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “98.7 The Gator” WKGR jumps up 4.5 to 5.5. Hubbard Country 103.1 WIRK is up 4.5 to 4.6.

With its move to Christmas music, iHeartMedia AC “Kool 105.5” WOLL trends down 6.4 – 5.2 – 4.6 (down from 5.3 last year).

Cumulus Adult R&B 103.5 WRBO retains its lead down 12.6 to 11.7.
